  • Patent number: 11973525
Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods which include wireless devices and systems with examples of full duplex compensation with a self-interference noise calculator that compensates for the self-interference noise generated by power amplifiers at harmonic frequencies of a respective wireless receiver. The self-interference noise calculator may be coupled to antennas of a wireless device and configured to generate the adjusted signals that compensate self-interference. The self-interference noise calculator may include a network of processing elements configured to combine transmission signals into sets of intermediate results. Each set of intermediate results may be summed in the self-interference noise calculator to generate a corresponding adjusted signal.

  • Patent number: 11937278
Abstract: With sidelink reservation signals sent together with the sidelink data, there is the possibility of interference with other sidelink signals. In order to address this, systems and methods are provided in which a first UE transmits a reservation signal to indicate at least one time-frequency resource for transmitting sidelink data. Following this, the first UE transmits at least one sidelink data transmission to a second UE using the at least one time-frequency resource indicated by the reservation signal. The reservation signal is transmitted before the at least one sidelink data transmission signal so that a third UE may detect the reservation signal and use the reservation signal to avoid using the at least one time-frequency resource indicated in the reservation signal.

  • Patent number: 11924006
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing channel estimation in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) based cellular radio technology (e.g., 4G, 5G). Initially, the reference transmission receive power (RSRP) is reported for each antenna element, rather than as a single RSRP. This enables the base station to understand the channel condition for each MIMO transmission/reception. Using that understanding, the base station can determine the radio-frequency (RF) power level per antenna port to provide more enhanced transmission towards a specific UE, resulting in a better service experience. In other words, more accurate channel estimation based on actual RF conditions of a particular UE can be derived so the base station can tune to the actual need of the UE.

  • Patent number: 11917588
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may be provided with a set of configured resources that use shared radio frequency spectrum. A base station may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to verify that a channel is available for transmissions, and may determine a channel occupancy time (COT) during which associated resources are reserved by the base station. An indication of the resources associated with the COT may be provided by the base station to the UE. The UE may then validate the configured resources based on whether they are located within resources associated with the COT.

  • Patent number: 11909511
Abstract: Provided are a wireless communication apparatus and a reference signal generating method, wherein inter-cell interference is reduced inside and outside a CoMP set. A CoMP mode setting unit (101) sets whether the terminal (100) thereof is a CoMP terminal or a Non-CoMP terminal. When the terminal (100) is set as a Non-CoMP terminal, the hopping pattern calculating unit (104) calculates a ZC sequence number to be used as the transmission timing, from among all the ZC sequence numbers that can be used within the system. When the terminal (100) is set as a CoMP terminal, the hopping pattern calculating unit (104) calculates a ZC sequence number to be used as the transmission timing, by hopping the ZC sequence numbers to be used within the CoMP set. A ZC sequence generating unit (105) generates a ZC sequence to be used as an SRS, using the calculated ZC sequence number.

  • Patent number: 11864172
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support half-duplex-aware resource selection in sidelink. A physical (PHY) layer at a user equipment (UE) may report available resources to a medium access control (MAC) layer excluding some resources on which the UE is scheduled to receive or other UEs are scheduled to transmit. Specifically, the PHY layer may exclude resources on which the UE is scheduled to receive from a set of resources available for a sidelink transmission from the UE. Similarly, the PHY layer at the UE may exclude resources on which other UEs are scheduled to transmit from a set of resources available for a sidelink transmission to those UEs. A MAC layer at the UE may indicate to the PHY layer (e.g., directly or indirectly) the resources to be excluded when reporting available resources.
