Abstract: An apparatus and method may be configured for detecting selection between a hot version and a cold version of a beverage, causing opening of a first of a plurality of valves and closing of a second of the plurality of valves for providing water to a first of a plurality of mixing chambers based on the selection, causing delivery of beverage concentrate to the first mixing chamber, controlling a flow rate of the water and a flow rate of the beverage concentrate into the mixing chamber for mixing of the water with the beverage concentrate in a controlled ratio to create the beverage, and dispensing the beverage from the mixing chamber.

Abstract: A water outlet fitting having a base, a hose device with a hose and a water outlet head as well as a holding device including: a mounting portion for mounting the holding device on the base of the water outlet fitting; a locking portion on the free end of the holding device for producing detachable locking of the hose device; and a guide portion for connecting the locking portion to the mounting portion and provide a contact face for the hose device; wherein in a first handling variant the hose device is locked on the holding device, wherein in a second handling variant the hose device is removed from the holding device and is movable in relation to the holding device, and a corresponding holding device. The water outlet fitting has an operating element which is developed in the manner of a stirrup-shaped handle surrounding the water outlet and/or base.

Abstract: Disclosed is a dispensing device comprising a housing, a spray head, and a protective cap. By overcoming a resistance, the protective cap can be rotated between a blocked position and a released position. The protective cap is transparent and is rotationally coupled to the spray head.

Abstract: A beverage dispensing system with a base to which a dispensing head is removably attached without additional fasteners, wherein beverage forming liquids are supplied through a plurality of separate conduits in the base. Each base conduit has a normally closed valve that normally blocks fluid flow. The dispensing head has at least one passageway that receives liquid from an associated one of the base conduits. A projection associated with each dispensing head passageway opens the associated conduit valve to allow fluid flow from the base to the head. Dispensing valves in the dispensing head are independently accountable to regulate the dispensing of the beverage. In one version of the invention, four liquids are supplied to the dispensing head through the conduits, namely two liquid concentrates; carbonated water; and non-carbonated water. By selective opening of the dispensing valves, a plurality of beverages are formed from combinations of one or more of the liquids.

Abstract: A washer and diaper-changing apparatus includes a main chamber, a glass window, a seat, a leg holder, a safety belt, a diaper removing arm, a sprinkler, and a dryer. The main chamber is configured to receive an infant therein. The glass window is placed on a top wall of the main chamber. The seat is movably coupled to the main chamber and configured for placement of the infant on the seat. The leg holder is movably coupled to the main chamber and configured to support at least one leg of the infant. The safety belt is coupled to the seat and configured to retain the infant on the seat. The sprinkler is placed inside the main chamber and configured to spray water to wash at least a portion of the infant.

Abstract: A portable toilet for use in restricted areas or subsequent to natural disaster. The toilet provides a temporary container for noxious products, such as human waste. One embodiment includes a bucket, a valve, and a removable fluid-tight lid. One or more legs space the bucket from the ground, and provide clearance for the valve. A toilet seat or other load bearing arrangement permits deposits into the container. The fluid-tight lid resists escape of noxious contents during transport of the toilet. The contents of a portable toilet may be discharged through the valve into a permanent toilet, RV dump station, or other suitable receptacle. Certain embodiments include provision for a closed-system, clean-in-place wash-down.

Abstract: A dual-flow flapper valve assembly is presented having a flapper and a stopper that extends through an opening in a central portion of the flapper. In some embodiments of the present invention, a guide assembly extends downwardly from a bottom of the flapper and the stopper having a shaft that is received and extends through the flapper and the guide assembly, such that a top end of the shaft extends above the flapper and a bottom end extends below the guide assembly. In some arrangements of the present invention, the shaft has a plug adjacent the top end of the shaft and a stop at the bottom end.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for emptying containers, including first and second holding devices which are suitable for holding first and second regions of containers that are to be emptied, wherein the second region is a distance from the first region, including a movement device which suitable for moving the first holding device towards the second holding device to compress the container located between the first holding device and the second holding device, and including a withdrawal device which has a flow connection to the interior of the container and via which liquid located in the container can be withdrawn as a result of compression of the container, including a drive device for driving the movement device, and including a control device which controls the relative movement of one holding device relative to the other holding device as a function of an internal pressure inside the container.

Abstract: A collapsible container is provided with a one-way valve. The valve comprises a cupola shaped slitted membrane forming a closure head to allow dispensing a liquid contained in the container by opening the membrane under liquid pressure. When pressure is reduced the membrane will close and prevent the entrance of air into the container. To avoid a deformation of the membrane in counter dispensing direction a supporting column is arranged within the valve ending in a distance from the lower side of the membrane. This column will prevent an opening of the membrane closure head towards the container storage room when air pressure in direction into the container is too high to be borne by the membrane closure head alone.

Abstract: A tamper-evident sealing device for use with a ground well (such as, for example, a water well, gas well, oil well, or the like) has been developed which takes the form of a UV-resistant, micro-perforated polymer plastic device that can be easily sealed over a well cap by applying heat. Should an unauthorized individual attempt to gain access to the well, he/she will necessarily have to break through the sealed, ventilated plastic layer, thus leaving behind indications of the tampering. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a conventional well cap as used in prior art well structures remains in place, with the plastic protective covering of the present invention sealed directly over the cap.

Abstract: A breathable, multi-layer exhaust insulation system is provided. The system includes a multi-layer sleeve, wherein the first layer, which is positioned adjacent the exhaust system pipes, is a braided sleeve which may be constructed from high-temperature resistant materials such as e-glass, s-glass, silica or ceramic. Additional braided layers of material may be included, as well. An outside cover of material is preferably a circular knitted fabric that contains glass fibers and resin-based fibers. The knitted fabric forms a tube on the outside of the insulating layers, and may be formed from a core spun yarn, which includes a glass filament core and a high-melt fiber on the wrap. Optionally, the system may also include a perforated or unperforated metal foil layer and/or a tape wrap, and the various components may be configured as desired.

Abstract: An agricultural metering system includes a meter roller having multiple flutes and recesses, in which the meter roller is configured to meter product from an agricultural product storage compartment to a product distribution system via rotation of the meter roller. The agricultural metering system also includes a shaft configured to drive the meter roller to rotate, and a clutch assembly operatively coupled to the meter roller. The clutch assembly includes a magnetorheological (MR) fluid, a rotation rate of the meter roller is at least partially dependent on an effective viscosity of the MR fluid, and the effective viscosity of the MR fluid is controllable based at least in part on an effective magnitude of a magnetic field applied to the MR fluid.

Abstract: A container for transporting and storing a liquid and with a dual function closure, the container comprises a container body with at least one inlet opening closed by a cap. The cap comprises a first and a second opening, as well as a first closure insert and a second closure insert. The first and second openings are each surrounded by a respective circumferential wall that comprises a shoulder. Each closure insert releasably engages with the respective shoulder such that the respective opening is fluid tightly closed. The cap comprises a locking means adapted to engage with a locking interface of a coupling device.

Abstract: A bath safety rail for being engaged to and disengaged from a bath surface. The bath safety rail includes a base, a handle on the base, first and second suction cups opposing the handle, cam followers on the suction cups that extend into the base, and cams in the base to engage and draw up the cam followers and suction cups to thereby create suction. The handle is two-piece where the pieces are separated by a handle plane, where each axis of each suction cup is in the handle plane.

Abstract: A water valve and a drinking device are provided. The water valve includes an upper support, a lower support, a valve spool, a sealing member, a spring and a water outlet. The upper support is provided with a water inlet. The lower support is provided with a water outlet and a vent hole. The valve spool has a first end connected with the upper support and a second end fixedly connected with the lower support, and the valve spool is movable relative to the upper support, to switch on or off a communication between the water inlet and the water outlet. When the water valve is at a state of discharging water, an interior of the water outlet pipe is not communicated with atmosphere; when the water valve is at a state of not discharging water, the vent hole communicates the interior of the water outlet pipe with the atmosphere.

Abstract: A piston for a pressurized container (i.e., “aerosol can”), the piston including a body having circumferential fins, with the fins being of uniform thickness, decreasing thickness radially away from the body, or varying thickness circumferentially. Further disclosed are container precursors and containers incorporating such a piston, and methods of filling and dispensing from such containers.
