  • Patent number: 9580019
Abstract: An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a reflective element, a housing portion and a user input module. The housing portion is positioned at a perimeter of the reflective element and has an exterior surface that faces generally toward the driver of the vehicle when the interior rearview mirror assembly is normally mounted in the vehicle. The housing portion has a recess established at the exterior surface. The user input module includes at least one user input that is actuatable by a user and includes backlighting operable to backlight the at least one user input. The user input module is at least partially received in the recess at the housing portion and is configured to snap attach at the housing portion when at least partially received in the recess at the housing portion.

  • Patent number: 9176319
Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods for filtering an electromagnetic radiation can be provided. For example, at least one first arrangement can be provided which is capable of receiving at least one first electro-magnetic radiation and forwarding at least one second electro-magnetic radiation at different angles with respect to a direction of incidence of the first electro-magnetic radiation. At least one second wavelength dispersion arrangement can be provided which is configured to receive the second electro-magnetic radiation, forward at least one third electro-magnetic radiation to the first arrangement and further receive at least one fourth electro-magnetic radiation. The third electro-magnetic radiation can be based on the second electro-magnetic radiation, and the fourth electro-magnetic radiation can be based on the third electro-magnetic radiation.

  • Patent number: 8992032
Abstract: A Newtonian telescope secondary mirror mount which includes means for attaching a Newtonian telescope secondary mirror to the secondary mirror mount. The attachment means will define a secondary mirror plane. The mount also includes first and second means for adjusting the angular alignment of the secondary mirror plane. The first adjustment means defines a first adjustment axis and the second adjustment means defines a second adjustment axis. In all embodiments both the first and second axes of angular orientation adjustment are substantially parallel to the secondary mirror plane. Methods of adjusting the angular alignment of a Newtonian telescope secondary mirror are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8899764
Abstract: A distortion free image capture mirror assembly, and more particularly one which can be associated with side view mirrors for use by drivers on all type of vehicles. The distortion free image capture mirror assembly includes a support or housing, a distortion free mirror, and image channeling horizontal surfaces in the form of an image channeling awning disposed above the distortion free mirror, and an image channeling sill mounted below the distortion free mirror. In addition, side beams to the right and left sides of the distortion free mirror are provided. The two horizontal surfaces will serve to eliminate distracting background view and direct or channel the image from the critical blind spot area with a clear non-distorted view toward the driver.

  • Patent number: 8842352
Abstract: A method for improving the alignment of the bi-directional scan lines of a resonant mirror imaging system is disclosed. The method includes sensing the position of the mirror and selecting a portion of each scan line, such as the exact middle 50% and the start points of the scan lines in both directions for displaying the image. Determine the specific number of pixels used to modulate the scan lines and the clocking rate at which the pixels are inserted on the light beam so that the pixels completely fill the selected portion of the scan lines. The clock rate is then adjusted to the determined rate.

  • Patent number: 8831170
Abstract: A mirror with a mirror carrier, as well as related apparatuses, systems and methods are disclosed. The mirror carrier can be embodied as cooling device with at least one cooling channel. Tube connections can be provided to connecting the at least one cooling channel to an inlet and an outlet of coolant. Sealing elements for a gas-tight and liquid-tight seals can be arranged between the tube connections and the mirror carrier. The field of application of the mirror can be, for example, an illumination device of a projection exposure apparatus.
