Abstract: A device for producing ceramic mouldings is disclosed comprising an isostatic press-mould half having an isostatic pressure membrane and an injection head having an inlet opening for introducing granulate and an extraction orifice for sucking the granulate in or out of the mould cavity. The injection head is spring-mounted on a press crosspiece which supports it, so that, as the injection head moves towards the isostatic press-mould half, a sealing pressure slowly forms between the injection head and the isostatic press-mould half and as the injection head moves away from the isostatic press-mould half this sealing pressure is slowly reduced.

Abstract: A check valve at the end of a plastifying worm for an extrusion or injection molding machine comprises a valve ring whose inner diameter is greater than that of a tip at the end of the head of the worm and which surrounds the neck connecting this tip with the valve seat of the worm. Spacers, preferably balls, are disposed between the ring and the tip and the surfaces of the ring and the tip flanking the balls are oriented to allow radial removal of the balls when the valve projects from the cylinder.
Abstract: An apparatus for melt-spinning and cross-flow quenching of synthetic organic polymer filaments is improved by incorporation of a tubular delayed quench assembly extending from the spinneret and projecting into the cross-flow quench chimney. The projecting portion of the assembly is foraminous. An improvement in filament decitex uniformity is achieved especially with fine filaments.
Abstract: A spinneret assembly which includes a filter bed holder containing a filter element. The filter element increases in porosity from its center to its periphery.
