Abstract: A reshapable hair styling composition comprising, in a cosmetic vehicle appropriate for hair, at least one dispersion comprising at least one polyurethane in a water and/or solvent medium, said at least one polyurethane being obtained by reacting: (a) an isocyanate terminated polyurethane prepolymer being obtained by reacting: (i) at least one polyactive hydrogen compound insoluble in the medium of the dispersion, wherein said polyactive hydrogen compound is chosen from alkyl, aryl, and aralkyl structures optionally substituted in and/or on the structure by N, O, and/or S groups; (ii) at least one polyisocyanate, and (iii) at least one polyactive hydrogen compound soluble in the medium of the dispersion, (b) at least one polyfunctional chain extender; and (c) at least one chain terminator.
Abstract: A skin cream is presented which reduces wrinkles upon topical application to the skin. The main ingredients of the composition include water and a xanthine based compound composition which is mixed together in a first vessel and a glycerin composition heated in a second vessel. The three components of the active ingredient are mixed carefully, making sure that any precipitate produced is remixed into the solution. After heating and mixing the components, the entire composition is cooled with care being taken to push any precipitate back into solution to ensure an even distribution of all of the components. The active ingredient thus produced may be combined with a suitable pharmaceutical vehicle to provide the topical wrinkle reducing moisturizing and protecting composition. The composition is topically applied to the effected area over a period of days or months in order to reduce or entirely eliminate wrinkles and dryness from the skin. The final active ingredient may also be used for other applications.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a stable nanosuspension for delivery of a biologically active agent into the bloodstream of a subject is disclosed. A microfluidizable mixture is initially formed and processed via a microfluidization process to form the stable nanosuspension, which may be administered via the buccal mucosa or other suitable routes of administration. This product demonstrates increased bioavailability, enhanced period of onset, and enhanced stability for a controlled-release product.
Abstract: An expression vector for preparing a library of an antibody variable region, which can express comprising polypeptides containing the H-chain and/or L-chain variable regions of antibodies in the membrane-bound form on the surfaces of eukaryotic cells, which is containing the nucleotide sequence of AKL (formula 1) and/or the nucleotide sequence AKH (formula 2), and which is replicable in the cells:
5′-PL-SL-CL-ML-AL-3′ (formula 1)(AKL)
5′-PH-SH-CH-MH-AH-3′ (formula 2)(AKH)
wherein PL and PH represent a promoter, respectively; SL and SH represent a nucleotide sequence coding for a signal peptide respectively; CL represents a nucleotide sequence coding for the L-chain constant region of an antibody; CH represents a nucleotide sequence coding for the H-chain constant region of an antibody or a nucleotide sequence coding for a polypeptide containing at least CH1 of the H-chain constant region of an antibody; AL and AH represent a polyadenylation signal, respectively
Abstract: A compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein the ring .circle.A is a pyrrole or pyrroline ring, X is an amino group or a hydroxyl group, Y is a hydrogen atom, an amino group or a hydroxyl group, R is a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkynyl group, --COOR.sup.1 and --COOR.sup.2 are independently carboxyl groups which may be esterified and n is an integer of 2 to 4, and R may be different in each of the n repeating units, and salts thereof have excellent antitumor effects, and can be used as antitumor agents in mammals.
