Abstract: An aircraft panel system including a first panel, having a hinged coupling configured to couple the first panel to an aircraft structure, a second panel disposed adjacent to the first panel such that the first panel and the second panel together form cabin surface of an aircraft, and a latch mechanism configured to releasably couple the second panel to the aircraft structure, where the first panel is configured to pivot about the hinged coupling from a latched position to an actuation position to actuate the latch mechanism and cause a release of the second panel from the latch mechanism.
Abstract: Proposed is a self-optimizing, adaptive industrial chocolate production system (1), and method thereof. The system comprising a chocolate mass processing line (11) with at least dosing means (2), one or more mixers (3), one or more refiners (4), one or more conches (5), and liquefying and tempering means (6). Appropriate inter-dependent operational parameters of the various devices (2/3/4/5/6) are measured by real-time measuring devices and transmitted to a controller device 12. The measured inter-dependent operational parameters are mutually optimized and dynamically adjusted providing an optimal operation at least in terms of the characteristics of the end chocolate mass 7 and/or throughputs of the chocolate production line 11 and/or other operation conditions as energy consumption.

Abstract: A method for producing a fiber composite component is disclosed. A sensor device having a flexible circuit carrier and/or a sensor module is integrated in the fiber composite component. The method comprises: loading a tool configured to produce the fiber composite component with textile layers and the sensor device; closing the loaded tool and compressing the textile layers and the sensor device; introducing a liquid matrix into the closed tool and impregnating the textile layers to produce the fiber composite component; detecting an acceleration in relation to the closing of the tool and/or the introducing of the liquid matrix, using at least one of the sensor device and the sensor module of the sensor device; and determining a process state and/or a process parameter based on a spectral analysis of the detected acceleration in a frequency domain.
Abstract: The invention relates to mechanical arm material distribution equipment capable of realizing consistence between a whole-body texture and surface decoration patterns of a ceramic tile and a control method thereof. The mechanical arm material distribution equipment consists of a block-shaped pattern material distribution mechanism assembly, a texture pattern material distribution mechanism assembly, and a press which are arranged in order. The control method comprises the following steps: (1) supplying power to start the mechanical arm material distribution equipment; (2) detecting whether a material level signal exists; (3) if YES, stopping operating stepless variable speed motors; (4) if NOT, operating the stepless variable speed motors; (5) detecting again whether a material level signal exists; (6) if YES, stopping operating the stepless variable speed motors; (7) if NOT, operating the stepless variable speed motors; and (8) repeating steps (2)-(7) until the equipment stops.

Abstract: A method enabling the selection, modification and/or creation of polymer materials which can provide improved response to the application of local shear and/or extensional deformation inside the polymer melt in manufacturing technologies including injection molding, injection stretch blow molding, direct injection, extrusion blow molding, sheet extrusion, thermoforming, etc., is provided. A method for manufacturing a polymer article includes injecting or extruding molten polypropylene, polyethylene or polyester based polymer for converting it into semi-final shape while applying shear and/or extensional deformation on the polymer melt. Applying shear and/or extensional deformation on the polymer melt includes selectively modifying the flow path of the molten semi-crystallizable polymer as a function of local pressure profile over at least part of the flow path.
Abstract: A flexible coupling for transmitting torque between parts of a transmission shaft system comprises a tubular section of continuous-fibre-reinforced composite material which has been modified to form a living hinge section with reduced bending stiffness to allow flexion of the tubular section. The tubular section may be modified through the provision of a pattern of formations within the living hinge section. The formations may be in the form of apertures and/or recesses in the continuous-fibre-reinforced composite material to create a plurality of living hinges in the material between, in particular slots and/or grooves.
Abstract: An improved market pulp and process for making the same by adding a composite material are described. The composite material includes cellulose nanocrystals, cellulose nanofibers, or another high aspect ratio, high surface area cellulose material (or a starch, or both) and a crosslinking compound that crosslinks a portion of the surface hydroxyl groups to form a 3-D matrix. Adding the composite material to market pulp has been shown to improve the strength of twice-dried paper products, made from such an enhanced market pulp. By crosslinking a portion of the surface hydroxyl groups in the market pulp to form a 3-D matrix, a first drying step may be accomplished without loss of benefits afforded when the market pulp is later re-pulped to make a paper product.
