Abstract: A cervical pad is provided for absorbing and collecting body fluids. The cervical pad comprises a resilient circular rim configured to span a vaginal opening adjacent the cervical os. A central body portion spans the area defined by the rim. The body portion includes a pad comprising an upper membrane layer, a lower membrane layer sealingly connected to the rim, and a flexible absorbent insert is disposed in a space defined between the inner membrane layer and the outer membrane layer.
Abstract: Absorbent article suppressing occurrence of malodor after use while preventing a rash on a wearer's skin. The absorbent article includes an absorbent body, and a fumaric acid-supported sheet disposed on a skin surface side of the absorbent body. The fumaric acid-supported sheet is a sheet which supports fumaric acid particles having an average particle diameter of 30 ?m or less, and/or a sheet in which at least a part of constituent fibers is coated with fumaric acid. When being in contact with the body fluid or the like, fumaric acid is not immediately but slowly dissolved so that alkalization at the area around fumaric acid can be prevented over a long period of time. In addition, fumaric acid has an action of inhibiting proliferation of putrefactive bacteria and, therefore, can prevent occurrence of malodor from the absorbent article having absorbed the body fluid or the like.
Abstract: Disclosed is a non-slip cotton sanitary pad, including a pad body, configured such that a cotton lining, an absorption pad and a waterproof cover are sequentially stacked, and a pair of wings protruding from both sides of the pad body, wherein the pair of wings protruding from both sides of the pad body includes a fastener so that the wings are fastened together in a folded state on the same surface, the cotton sanitary pad is disposed such that the waterproof cover contacts underwear, and the waterproof cover includes a non-slip member on the surface contacting the underwear.
Abstract: A sanitary article comprises a longitudinal main body defining opposite longitudinal ends and opposite lateral sides and comprising an upper part, a lower part and an absorbent core therebetween attached together at a common central portion of the longitudinal main body. The upper part and the lower part are separated from each other at the lateral sides of longitudinal main body to define separate lateral upper part and lower part portions at each of the lateral sides. The upper part comprises a liquid pervious body contacting surface. The lower part comprising a garment contacting surface.
Abstract: In order to absorb a small amount of liquid, to prevent an absorbent article from being disintegrated by the absorbed liquid, and to prevent piping of a toilet from being clogged even if the absorbent article is flushed into a flush toilet, the absorbent article includes a pulp layer containing a crushed pulp or fibers mainly containing a crushed pulp, and the pulp layer has a water repellent surface layer portion formed by applying a water repellent agent to at least one surface layer portion.
Abstract: Absorbent articles are described comprising an absorbent composite. The absorbent composite comprises a first absorbent layer comprising a polymeric foam having an average cell size of at least 100 microns. The polymeric foam has at least one property selected from a) an indentation force deflection of less than 75 N at 50%; or b) a constant deflection compression set of less than 25% for a deflection of 50%; or a combination of a) and b); and a second absorbent layer in fluid communication with the fluid transport layer. In another embodiment, the a second absorbent layer has an average absorption capacity of at least 20 g/g. In another embodiment, a polyurethane foam is described having an average cell size of at least 100 microns. The polyurethane foam comprises the reaction product of at least one polyol component having polyethylene oxide units and a polyisocyanate component that comprises at least 75 wt-% of at least one polymeric polyisocyanate that lacks urethane linkages.

Abstract: In an absorbent article for incontinence using cotton fiber for a front-surface sheet, a diffusing range of liquid in the front-surface sheet is made to be a predetermined range or less, thereby eliminating a sticky feeling of the surface, and reducing water retention of the front-surface sheet so as to cause urine to diffuse in the front-surface sheet rapidly.
Abstract: A multi-piece diapering system is based on a removable, disposable absorbent channel insert diaper having hydrophobic interior leg gathers and a water impermeable backer, but without waist tabs or bands or elastic to secure the channel to the user and optionally without leg cuffs. The absorbent channel insert may be used in a single-use disposable diaper to allow such disposable diaper to be re-used multiple times by replacing the channel insert diaper when soiled. The absorbent channel insert diaper may also be used with underwear as the supporting shell, or with other exterior diaper shells or base layer diapers.
