  • Patent number: 11529218
Abstract: Tools, assemblies, devices, systems, and methods for easily mounting a crown to a titanium (Ti) base or custom abutment with a tool without having to pre-cement a mounting base to a crown and have to physically hold together the base to the crown until the cement is cured. The implant cementation assembly tool does allow the Ti base and crown to be cemented (pre-cemented) without being constantly held and done outside of the mouth. The embodiments can include a bottom (hard rod, such as plastic or metal) that goes through the Ti base and the crown. The embodiments can include a top that is either threaded to allow it to be screwed onto the hard rod or a top that has a hollow center that can slide over the hard rod and be clamped to the rod. A second embodiment uses a modified hemostat tool with lockable pivoting arms to clamp the crown to the Ti base to allow cement to become set.

  • Patent number: 11478363
Abstract: A prosthetic knee includes a hydraulic resistance system with an extension hydraulic circuit and a flexion hydraulic circuit. The flexion hydraulic circuit includes a switchable resistance assembly with a mechanical switch. The mechanical switch has an engaged position and a released position. The switchable resistance assembly provides a first level of hydraulic resistance when the mechanical switch is in the released position and a second level of hydraulic resistance when the mechanical switch is in the engaged position, the second level being less than the first level. The mechanical switch moves to the engaged position when the hydraulic resistance element reaches a predetermined extension position and moves back to the released position when fluid flow falls below a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 11432947
Abstract: A prosthetic ankle has an ankle joint body (10A) constituting a shin component and a foot component (12). The ankle joint body (10A) is pivotally connected to the foot component (12) by a first pivotal connection (14) defining a medial-lateral ankle joint flexion axis. The ankle joint body (10A) also forms the cylinder of an ankle joint piston and cylinder assembly with a superior-inferior central axis, the cylinder housing a piston (16) with upper and lower piston rods (16A, 16B). The lower piston rod (16B) is pivotally connected to the foot component (12) at a second pivotal connection (18). As the ankle joint body (10A) pivots about the ankle joint flexion axis, the piston (16) moves substantially linearly in the cylinder formed by the ankle joint body. The cylinder is divided into upper and lower chambers (20A, 20B).
