    Abstract: Example hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback methods and apparatus are provided. One example method includes a network device obtains first indication information used to instruct a terminal device to feed back HARQ feedback information. The first indication information is obtained based on information amounts corresponding to a data channel and/or information amounts corresponding to a control channel that are in a reference slot and at least one first slot. The reference slot and the at least one first slot each correspond to a different component carrier of a plurality of component carriers serving the terminal. The reference slot and the at least one first slot have a same start moment, and at least two of the plurality of component carriers have different slot lengths. The network device sends, to the terminal device, indication information used to indicate at least the first indication information.

The first communication device generates, based on the set of one or more training signals included in the NDP received from the second communication device, an aggregate media access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU) to include a plurality of fragments of beamforming training information for the second communication device. No single fragment among the plurality of fragments includes an entirety of the beamforming training information. The first communication device transmits the A-MPDU to the second communication device in a single physical layer (PHY) data unit and as part of a multi-user transmission.

After receiving the at least one autonomous transmission parameter sent by the terminal, the base station detects and receives, according to the at least one autonomous transmission parameter, data sent by the terminal. In this manner, the terminal can flexibly transmit data according to currently available transmission resources without having to passively and rigidly wait until the transmission resources satisfy the scheduling requirements of the base station before performing transmission.

With this technique, a higher number of transactions per unit of time can be communicated and/or executed over a given bandwidth limited channel. When the transmitted message is received, the receiver does not know the message length, but the receiver deduces the length by using information from various error detection and correction techniques, such as forward error correction (FEC) and cyclic redundancy check (CRC) techniques.
