  • Patent number: 8275696
Abstract: As market conditions descend or ascend an axis of prices, the display of market information is repositioned, at a pre-determined rate if desired, around an item of interest. An item of interest may include the best bid price, the best ask price, the inside market, a moving average, a last traded price, a theoretical value, the result of an equation, or some other item of interest to the trader. According to the present embodiments, market information may be displayed in a region relative to an axis of prices, and when an event occurs, a repositioning signal is initialized causing the axis to be repositioned such that the item of interest is positioned at a pre-determined location in the region. The price axis can be repositioned at a fixed rate or at a dynamically variable rate.

  • Patent number: 8271367
Abstract: Embodiments provide computerized stress testing for evaluating the effect of changes in the financial position of one or more borrowers. A stressed financial parameter (e.g., a risk rating or financial ratio) is generated for a borrower based on a selection of a borrower account type, a stress amount for applying to the account type, and additional financial inputs corresponding to the borrower. In some cases the stressed financial parameter is generated as a function of an unstressed financial parameter for the borrower, the stress amount, a numerator factor corresponding to the selected account type, and a denominator factor corresponding to the selected account type. Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided with the stress testing functionality.

  • Patent number: 8266041
Abstract: This invention has the potential to generate very good return on investments from stocks that are conservative in movement. This invention will greatly benefit investors that do not have the time to constantly trade stock yet want to take advantage of normal price fluctuations. The Limit Order Coupled LinK (LOCK) invention, for example, will take a buy order, complete the transaction at the specified price, then automatically resubmits a new order to sell at a specified higher price. If specified, the process can automatically cycle through the buy-sell process a set number of time allowing the investor to take advantage of intra-day market moves and normal stock price fluctuations with no personal investor evolvement. The LOCK order, with set profit margins, allows on-line traders and brokers to place one order, which will automatically generate logical, sequenced additional orders returning a profit on each transaction. LOCK will benefit both the investor and the stock trading company.

  • Patent number: 8249967
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for use of an image-based payment medium through images stored on the consumer's mobile phone in place of traditional plastic gift, credit or debit cards. Upon authentication, an image is sent to the consumer's mobile phone. The consumer displays the image at the retailer's point of sale when completing a transaction. The image is scanned with a barcode reader, a webcam or other scanning device and the consumer's account in a database is debited or credited based on the amount and type of transaction. An image-base payment medium provides for the ability to target specific ads to the consumer, directed to the registered mobile phone number and also to attach loyalty and coupon programs to the account, which the recipient may redeem upon scanning of the encoded image on the mobile phone at the point of sale. The system and method is suitable for “virtual” gift cards, credit and debit cards, loyalty payment programs and other methods of value exchange.
