  • Patent number: 7769617
Abstract: A worker management system, which includes a plant 100 divided into a plurality of work areas each in correspondence to specific task contents, a database 220 having stored therein task identification information correlating each work area 112 with contents of tasks performed therein and worker detection sensors 130 installed in each work area, identifies the specific work area where a worker is currently located based upon outputs from the worker detection means and then identifies the task currently performed by the worker based upon the task identification information. Based upon the current task thus identified, a decision is made as to whether the worker should continue the current task or be assigned a new task and an instruction for task execution is issued to the worker. Therefore the identification of current tasks, the assignment of a new task and the task reassignment are facilitated to improve the work efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7685014
Abstract: A system for monitoring a queue including an entry sensor subsystem for sensing the entrance of customers into the queue, an exit sensor subsystem for sensing the exit of customers from the queue, and a processing system in communication with the entry and exit sensor subsystems. The processing system is operable to log a customer sensed by the entry sensor as entering the queue, determine from the exit sensor subsystem if the logged customer has exited the queue within a predetermined time period, and if the logged customer has exited the queue within the predetermined time period, log the customer as having received service or, if the logged customer has not exited the queue within the predetermined time period, provide an indication to management personnel.

  • Patent number: 7577680
Abstract: The present invention provides network based reporting techniques designed to meet the needs of subscription based marketers. Clients access, edit report on, and analyze their subscriber database using the Internet, for example. In a representative embodiment, a plurality of client computers connect to the Internet using a local area network (LAN), for example. The client computers pass security protocols before gaining access to web, application, and database servers. Once connected, the client computers are able to retrieve and display information using a web browser. Database contents are denormalized to provide the capability to generate reports based upon relatively large amounts of information. In addition, the data is transformed into a structure specifically to facilitate and enhance multi-channel subscription marketing activities.
