Abstract: A lock for a motor vehicle, in particular a side door lock, comprising a locking mechanism having a rotary latch and at least one locking pawl, an actuating level chain with at least one actuating level and a release lever, wherein a blocked locking mechanism can be unblocked by means of the release lever, and a coupling element between the actuating lever and release lever, wherein the coupling element can be actuated by means of a mass inertia element which is mounted in the motor vehicle lock, and wherein the mass inertia element can be stored in the motor vehicle lock by means of a plastic mandrel.

Abstract: A shielded locking system for securely closing a lid on an enclosure, such as a grade level utility vault, including an L-bolt connected to a spring-biased slide member positioned on the underside of the lid that rotates in a slotted housing that securely retains the L-bolt under the lid, the slide member engaging an abutment on the inside of the enclosure when the lid is forced down over an opening in the enclosure by downward force on the lid which progressively causes the latch to retract against the spring-bias from contact with the abutment and then snaps the latch into a spring-biased locking position under the abutment, and a non-conductive cover positioned over and connected to the locking system to shield the L-bolt from electrical conductivity from within the enclosure.

Abstract: A rose assembly for a lockset configured to conceal and protect at least portions of a chassis that are positioned in a through-hole of an entryway device. The rose assembly can include at least a rose base and a rose plate. The rose plate can be assembled to the rose base at one of a plurality of orientations so that the rose assembly has an asymmetrical configuration. The rose assembly can include an indexing system to control the orientations at which the rose plate can be selectively secured to the rose base. The indexing system can include first and second male members and a plurality of female members, the first male member being sized to be matingly received in some, but not all, of the plurality of female members. The rose plate can be secured to the rose base by plate fasteners, magnets and/or double-sided tape.

Abstract: The quality of stored content may be managed prior to output. A computing device may request and receive content segments for output via the computing device. The content segments may comprise content encoded at a first bit rate selected by the computing device. The first content segments may be stored in a memory of the computing device, such as a buffer, until output at their respective presentation times. If network conditions improve, the computing device may improve the quality of at least one of the first content segments stored in the memory. The quality may be improved by requesting a higher bit rate version of the content segment and replacing, in the memory, the first content segment with the higher bit rate version of the content segment. The quality of the first content segment may be improved by adding data to the first content segment.

Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle locking system, particularly for acting upon a motor vehicle cover and preferably a motor vehicle door for the purpose of locking it. A drive for the cover is acted upon depending on a pre-locked position and a fully latched position of the cover determined by a sensor. According to the invention, a sensor detects the over-travel beyond the fully latched position, resulting in the motor being driven in a reverse direction irrespective of the previously assumed fully latched position.

Abstract: Disclosed are various approaches for determining an optimal communication channel for contacting a user. In one such embodiment, application usage data corresponding to user interactions on available communication channels within an enterprise environment is obtained and used to generate a knowledge graph representing an individual user communicating over two or more of the available communication channels with other users. Thus, based on the knowledge graph, at least one optimal communication channel can be provided for contacting the individual user, wherein the at least one optimal communication channel is represented in the knowledge graph.

The latching mechanism is movable from a latched position to an unlatched position. The handle is connected to the base and is movable in response to a first force from a first position to a second position. Moving the handle from the first position to the second position moves the latching mechanism from the latched position to the unlatched position. The safety latch mechanism moves from a first position to a second position upon application of a force to the biasing member exceeding the biasing force. The safety latch mechanism remains in the first position upon movement of the handle from the first position to the second position.

Abstract: A system for efficiently parsing semi-structured deep packet inspection traffic data tied to a telecommunications entity. The system is capable of parsing such records at million-records-per-second scale through use of a numerical data model, leverage on proven fundamental algebraic techniques, and shortcuts to label streaming traffic on the fly. In some embodiments, the system may perform parallel accumulation of data traffic into business grade counters using elementary techniques and subsequently identify subscribers exhibiting specific data patterns in real time for contextual targeting of promotional offers. A method of efficiently parsing the traffic data via the system of the disclosure.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to processes and systems for generating data packets in a smart network interface controller (“SNIC”) of a host server computer. A smart packet generator (“spktgen”) controller receives a user command that contains directions for how packets are generated in the SNIC. The command is sent to a spktgen daemon that runs in a control core of the multicore processor. The spktgen daemon extracts the type of packet generator and packet parameters recorded in the command and sends the type of packet generator and packet parameters to a spktgen engine that also runs in the control core. The spktgen engine creates threads in each of one or more data cores of the multicore processor. Each thread comprises instructions for generating data packets from the data generated by data generating sources of the host in accordance with the type of packet generator and the packet parameters.

In an example, a computing device may include a memory storing instructions and a processor communicatively coupled with the memory and configured to execute the instructions. The processor may receive a request to initiate a new instance of a website. The processor may also determine a domain name of the website in response to the request. The processor may also determine a first user profile from a plurality of user profiles that corresponds to the domain name based on profile information corresponding to one or more of profile history data, profile favorites data, or administrative settings data. The processor may also launch the new instance of the website in a browser according to the first user profile.

Abstract: A connection request is received for an account, the account associated with a set of devices, the connection request comprising a request to establish communication between a sending device and a device associated with the account. By analyzing device usage data for a first device in the set of devices, an availability score of the first device is determined. The first device is presented for connection based on the availability score of the first device. Responsive to the presenting, the sending device and the first device are connected.
