    Abstract: The method of forming an abradable stator joint for a stage of an axial to machine having a cylindrical ring, the internal wall of which is closely adjacent to the tips of the blades of the stage. Honeycomb stampings are made in a strip of material set into the said wall preferably by means of serrated wheel action.
