Abstract: Technologies are presented directed to uploading of attachments to a relevant group cloud storage at send time. A communication application and/or service may suggest to a user to upload an attachment of an outgoing communication to a group cloud storage upon generation of the communication. Suggestion of group may be based on last use, document type, content, user(s), which account the user is in, and comparable factors. The user (or sender) may also be provided with options to set permissions for the attachment based on the upload destination selection. In some examples, upload of work documents to personal cloud storage may be prevented and suitable groups may be selected for user that are part of multiple groups.

Abstract: A memory log retrieval and provisioning system includes a server device that is coupled to a support system via a network. The server device includes a memory device having at least one memory log. A memory log retrieval and provisioning subsystem is coupled to the memory device, and determines that a memory log retrieval event has occurred in the server device. In response to determining that the memory log retrieval event has occurred, the memory log retrieval and provisioning subsystem automatically retrieves the at least one memory log from the memory device without receiving user instructions subsequent to detecting the memory log retrieval event. The memory log retrieval and provisioning subsystem then automatically transmits the at least one memory log through the network to the support system without receiving user instructions subsequent to automatically retrieving the at least one memory log.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for facilitating and improving push messaging provided to users. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from a user device, a request to subscribe to a push messaging service, selecting a given phone number that is uniquely associated with the user based on the received request, transmitting, to a user device, a first message that presents visual information at the user device and includes the given phone number, receiving, by the one or more servers, a second message addressed to the given phone number, selecting an additional message that presents additional visual information at the user device based, at least in part, on the message received from the user device and one or more of a geolocation of the mobile device or a time of day, and transmitting the additional message to the user device.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method for deploying different virtual networks over several public cloud datacenters for different entities. For each entity, the method (1) identifies a set of public cloud datacenters of one or more public cloud providers to connect a set of machines of the entity, (2) deploys managed forwarding nodes (MFNs) for the entity in the identified set of public cloud datacenters, and then (3) configures the MFNs to implement a virtual network that connects the entity's set of machines across its identified set of public cloud datacenters. In some embodiments, the method identifies the set of public cloud datacenters for an entity by receiving input from the entity's network administrator. In some embodiments, this input specifies the public cloud providers to use and/or the public cloud regions in which the virtual network should be defined. Conjunctively, or alternatively, this input in some embodiments specifies actual public cloud datacenters to use.

Abstract: An opening device for a motor vehicle latch with a trigger which can be moved from a starting position into an opening position for pivoting of a triggering lever from a starting position into an opening position and which is connected with an inertia component by a deflectable knee lever, with a blockade lever, which can be moved by deflection of the knee lever from a starting position into a blocking position, whereby the movement of the triggering lever into the opening position is prevented when the blockade lever is in its blocking position, whereby the knee lever is deflected by excessive acceleration of the trigger and the blockade lever is thus moved into its blocking position.

The lever is pivotable between an actuated position and a deactuated position, and is biased toward the deactuated position. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to transforming event data associated with an entity using a multicomputer platform and directing a client computing device to perform a determined action based on a detected event characteristic of the event data and a detected current event. With some embodiments, an event tracking server detects the current event from sensed data provided by a sensed data server and identifies a correlation measure between the detected event characteristic and the detected current event. The event tracking server may direct one or more client computing devices to perform one or more actions related to an entity based on the correlation measure.

Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes detecting by a first network element at a first data center site a local connection of an endpoint identifier (“EID”), in which the EID was previously locally connected to a second network element at a second data center site and notifying a mapping server of the local connection of the EID to the first network element. The method further includes receiving from the mapping server identifying information for the second network element and communicating with the second network element using the identifying information to obtain service information for traffic associated with the EID. The method may also include applying a service identified by the service information to outgoing traffic from the EID as well as applying a service identified by the service information to incoming traffic for the EID.

Abstract: A door handle assembly includes a bracket having a retention feature, an end cap connected to the bracket, and a handle pivotally connected to the bracket and moveable between a closed position and an open position, the handle having a pivot arm disposed within the bracket, the pivot arm having a pivot point and a lower portion, wherein the pivot arm engages the bracket and the lower portion is disposed on a side of the pivot point opposite the handle. The retention feature engages the lower portion when the handle is in the closed position and applies a force on the pivot arm in a rearward direction to maintain a gap distance between the handle and the end cap.

The method includes receiving a content request for the dynamic element from a client device, the content request comprising a uniform resource locator (URL) of an external data source from which to retrieve content for the dynamic element; identifying the data source based on the URL; forwarding the content request to the identified data source; receiving metadata corresponding to the content hosted by the data source; and forwarding the metadata to the client device for display in a dynamic element placeholder on the client device.

Abstract: A method for detecting a handed configuration of a door includes providing an electronic lock, which includes a latch assembly that includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position and a motor that is configured to drive the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position. The latch assembly includes a control circuit for controlling the motor to selectively move the bolt, at least one sensor in electrical communication with the control circuit, and at least one orientation indicator. The method includes detecting the presence of the at least one the orientation indicator and identifying a handed configuration based on the detection by the at least one sensor. The method includes driving, by the control circuit, the motor based on the identified handed configuration. The control circuit identifies the handed configuration without moving the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer system detects a notification for a service worker. The service worker being configured to process the notification for a website. The computer system monitors a behavior of the service worker in response to receiving the notification and compares the behavior to one or more policies for the notification to determine that the behavior violated at least one of the one or more policies. The one or more policies describe restrictions on behavior for producing a visible result for the notification or responding to the notification within a time period. The computer system then performs a mitigation action based on the service worker violating the at least one of the one or more policies, the mitigation action restricting an aspect of use of the notification for the website.

Abstract: A rose assembly for a lockset configured to conceal and protect at least portions of a chassis that are positioned in a through-hole of an entryway device. The rose assembly can include at least a rose base and a rose plate. The rose plate can be assembled to the rose base at one of a plurality of orientations so that the rose assembly has an asymmetrical configuration. The rose assembly can include an indexing system to control the orientations at which the rose plate can be selectively secured to the rose base. The indexing system can include first and second male members and a plurality of female members, the first male member being sized to be matingly received in some, but not all, of the plurality of female members. The rose plate can be secured to the rose base by plate fasteners, magnets and/or double-sided tape.

Abstract: A lock for an access point such as a window includes a dual-action locking mechanism with a locking unit and a blocker. The locking unit is movable between a locking position and an unlocking position. The blocker blocks movement of the locking unit when the blocker is in a blocking position, and permits movement of the locking unit when the blocker is in an unblocking position. The lock may capture an insert attached to a tether to permit partial opening of a window while the unit is locked.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a plurality of performance metrics from a data streaming infrastructure. The data streaming infrastructure comprises one or more message producers, one or more message brokers and one or more message consumers. In the method, the plurality of performance metrics are analyzed in a machine learning model, and one or more performance issues with the data streaming infrastructure are predicted based on the analyzing.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein for a health monitor that establishes and monitors a set of alive endpoints to be used as substitutes for a dead working window endpoints. The health monitor periodically monitors substitution endpoints. When a request manager determines that a working window endpoint is dead, the request manager sends a request to the health monitor for a substitute endpoint. The health monitor receives the request and identifies an appropriate substitution endpoint from the health monitor endpoints to provide to the request manager to substitute for the dead endpoint. The health monitor releases the identified substitution endpoint to the request manager.

Abstract: A data distribution system in comprises software application nodes that utilize a publish-subscribe communication mechanism for distribution of data in real-time or near real-time within a personal area network (PAN), local area network (LAN), or wide-area network (WAN) configuration. The distributed system communication software application nodes reside in medical devices, such as monitoring devices and cardiac defibrillators, and associated patient information delivery systems and patient data management systems comprising medical software installed on servers and end-user computing devices, including mobile devices.
