Abstract: A method of presenting documents includes providing a single file comprising a plurality of documents, an identifier for each of the plurality of documents, an indicator for each of the plurality of documents to indicate in which one of a plurality of predefined sections that document belongs and to indicate a position of that document in that section, and a time indicator for each of the plurality of documents to indicate when that document was last updated within the single file if the document has been updated, wherein each document has been created individually and added to the single file.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for presenting a participant engagement index in an online interaction conducted by at least one host for at least one participant is disclosed. The method comprises monitoring a plurality of activities of at least one participant of an online meeting; computing an attentiveness level in response to each activity in the plurality of activities; and displaying a meeting engagement level, wherein the meeting engagement level is an average of the computed attentiveness level for the at least one participant since the start of the online interaction.

Abstract: The letter input method of the present invention comprises: a first step of enabling a letter input window including an end button to be displayed on a touch screen at a location separate from a word input window, when a user applies contact pressure to the word input window of the web browser or web site displayed on the touch screen; a second step of inputting relevant letters to the word input window, when the user inputs characters to the character input window; and a third step of generating a driving signal such that the search engine associated with the word input window can be driven by using the letters input to the word input window as search data, when the user selects the end button.

Abstract: A method may include receiving a plurality of images of a face of a user, wherein each image of the face of the user is associated with one of a plurality of different expressions. The method may also include receiving a first video, wherein the first video comprises images of an actor including images of a face of the actor, wherein each image of the face of the actor is associated with one of the plurality of different expressions. Further, the method may include replacing the images of the face of the actor with corresponding images of the face of the user in a same expression to create a second video and transmitting the second video to the user.

Abstract: Various embodiments described or referenced herein are directed to different devices, methods, systems, and computer program products for displaying object record information via a user interface provided in a web browser. A request to display a user interface component may be received. The user interface component may include first stored object record information associated with a first object record in a database stored on a server. Whether the requested user interface component including the first stored object record information is open in the user interface may be determined. When it is determined that the requested user interface component is not open in the user interface, the first stored object record information may be retrieved from the server. The requested user interface component at the client machine may be generated without reloading the user interface.

Abstract: Exemplary media content user interface systems and methods are disclosed herein. An exemplary method includes a media content access subsystem displaying a plurality of display elements topographically distributed throughout a graphical representation of a virtual world in accordance with one or more distribution heuristics, detecting a user interaction, and dynamically adjusting the topographical distribution of the one or more display elements in accordance with the user interaction. Corresponding systems and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention aims to provide an information display device for easily changing a scrolling speed and a display mode. The information display device receives an instruction for displaying a plurality of contents, via a move operation on a two-dimensional plane defined by first and second axes; determines a moving speed for moving the contents, based on a motion component of the move operation along the first axis, and determines a display mode for displaying the contents, based on a motion component of the move operation along the second axis; and displays the contents in the display mode on a screen, by scrolling through the contents at the moving speed.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for creating collections with automatic suggestions is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method comprises receiving a user specification containing at least one unquantified constraint defining particular items contained in a library, where the library comprises a plurality of items and metadata associated with each item in the plurality of items; parsing and translating the at least one unquantified constraint into at least one quantified constraint to define at least one item of the plurality of items in the library; creating a suggested collection comprising at least one suggested item selected from the library having metadata conforming to at least one quantified constraint; and refining the suggested collection to form a final collection.

Abstract: Exemplary media content user interface systems and methods are disclosed herein. An exemplary method includes a media content access subsystem displaying a plurality of display elements representative of a plurality of media content instances and that flow through a graphical representation of a water cycle in accordance with one or more flow heuristics, detecting a user interaction, and dynamically adjusting the flow of the one or more display elements in accordance with the user interaction. Corresponding systems and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides an adaptive infotainment device, comprising a display unit, a processing module, and a network module. The processing module is coupled to the display unit to decrypt and process the multi-media content. The network module is coupled to the processing module to receive the multi-media content and selecting paths and accessing nodes. The network module collects the usage log to be processed by the processing module to generate an accumulated user profile to be fused with user default information in a user default unit coupled to the processing module to generate at least one threshold value so that the display unit is capable of displaying the processed multi-media content according to the threshold value. Hence, the user's network behavior can be learned by combining the pre-determined preferences and the past usage preferences so as to generate the most favorable displaying means to enhance the convenience for browsing information.

Abstract: A run-book automation system is provided having a run-book repository having one or more run-books stored thereon. The automation system can include process logic for implementing an automation workflow including one or more automated tasks. The system can also include at least one invokable run-book document comprising procedural information related to the workflow and comprising at least one actionable link. The system may also include a run-book process module configured to initiate execution of the process logic of a first run-book and to provide the run-book document for display to a user. The system can include an automation engine in communication with the run-book process module and configured to initiate at least a first automated task of the one or more the automated tasks in response to user selection of the at least one actionable link.

Abstract: A question-and-answer application with an “ask-to-answer” feature is described. The ask-to-answer feature enables any user to solicit an answer to a question from another user. Upon soliciting another user for an answer to a particular question, a message with a call to action is directed to the solicited user. The message may include a copy of the text of the question and may provide a mechanism (e.g., a selectable user interface element) enabling the solicited user to pass on answering the question. Subsequent to the solicitation, the question page for the question will include a notification with information about the solicitation, including in some instances information identifying the user who has been asked to answer the question and the number of times the user has been asked to provide an answer to the question.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a webpage design system including a storage and a processor. The storage stores a number of ActiveX controls, a number of ActiveX control description files each describing a corresponding one ActiveX control, and a number of modules. The modules include instructions executable by the processor to provide a webpage interface for a user to design a webpage. The webpage interface includes an ActiveX control option for the user to select at least one desired ActiveX control. The modules further include instructions executable by the processor to position the selected ActiveX control in a designed webpage under construction, provide a search interface for the user to input a description of a desired function, and search in the ActiveX control description files according to the description to determine whether at least one ActiveX control having the desired function exists in the storage.

Abstract: A system, methods and interfaces are provided for managing items in a networked environment. A set of items, such as publications or other works, can be embodied in tangible media that are mutually exclusive. In response to a selection of an item, a prioritized order of the tangible media corresponding to the selected item is provided. Each tangible media can be further subdivided into a prioritized order of physical attributes of the respective tangible media.

Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments for providing UI services. An application-independent, reusable UI framework receives a request from a first application, to perform a first operation on a first set of data relating to presentation of the first set of data on a UI. A subset of the first set of data is received from a data provider independent of the UI framework. At least one first service is identified in response, the first service hosted by the UI framework and adapted to perform the first operation on the first set of data. The first operation is performed on the subset of the first set of data using the at least one identified first service to produce a first processed set of data adapted for presentation on a UI of the first application. The first processed set of data is sent to the first application.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing graphical representations of resources related to passages of classic literature are provided. According to one implementation, a graphical user interface (GUI) is provided in which the GUI includes a search field configured to enable a user to enter a search term. The search term may be recognized as a subject focus element. The GUI also includes a bloom diagram window configured to display an initial bloom diagram having the subject focus element at a center location and resource elements related to the subject focus element at locations surrounding the center location. A passage window is configured to display one or more passages of a classic literary work, wherein the passages related to the subject focus element. Also, the GUI includes a resource window configured to display a description of the resource elements.

Abstract: A multi-document application that includes a multi-document interface that includes a view area that displays one document at a time and includes a tab group element that displays tabs, each tab having a control that permits a corresponding document to be visualized in the view area. When a new document is opened in the multi-document application, the multi-document interface adds a new tab to the tab group element to represent the newly opened document. The color coding of the tabs and/or the tab sizing is configurable by a user rather than being predetermined. Other visual properties may also be configurable.
