  • Patent number: 10393187
Abstract: A disconnect mechanism includes a shaft that rotationally couples a prime mover and a driven element together. The disconnect mechanism also includes a first bearing that rotationally supports the shaft and a first seize ring rigidly attached to the shaft. The first seize ring coaxially surrounds at least a portion of the shaft. The disconnect mechanism also includes a housing that retains the first bearing. The housing includes a first contact member that is fixed with relation to the shaft. The first contact member is concentrically spaced from the first seize ring during the normal operation of the shaft and selectively contacts the first seize ring when the centerline control of the shaft is not maintained. The disconnect mechanism also includes a torque activated disconnect element that rotationally decouples the prime mover and the driven element from one another when the first seize ring contacts the first contact member.

  • Patent number: 10393191
Abstract: A synchronizer of a transmission may include bottom key disposed on a hub to be slidable in a radial direction of the hub; a top key disposed radially outside the bottom key to be slidable in an axial direction of the hub; a sleeve disposed outside the hub and sliding in the axial direction to slide the top key in the axial direction to press a synchro-ring; a key spring disposed between the bottom key and the hub to press the bottom key and the top key toward an internal side of the sleeve; and a motion converting portion converting relative motion generated in a circumferential direction of the hub between the top key and the bottom key into axial relative motion of the top key to the bottom key toward the synchro-ring.

  • Patent number: 10337568
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vibration damper for a hydraulic clutch actuator. The vibration damper comprises a rigid housing comprising a chamber, and an inlet port and an outlet port forming a channel, the channel being in fluid communication with said chamber, and a propeller comprising a plurality of at least two blades, the propeller being rotatably mounted in said chamber, and a spiral torsion spring connected to said propeller in such a way that rotation of the propeller causes winding or unwinding of the spring.

  • Patent number: 10309507
Abstract: A transmission (GA) for an axle drive (1) of a motor vehicle includes a drive shaft (AN), two output shafts (AB1, AB2), at least four shafts (W1, W2, W3, W4), a differential, and two interconnected planetary gear sets (PS1, PS2). The drive shaft (AN) is a hollow shaft, and the drive shaft (AN) is coaxial with at least one of the two output shafts (AB1, AB2). The differential (D) is arranged, at least partly, within a cylindrical volume. An outer shell surface of the cylindrical volume is defined by an inner shell surface of a sun gear (SO2) of the second planetary gear set (PS2). A diameter of inner shell surface corresponds to an inner diameter of the sun gear (SO2) of the second planetary gear set (PS2).

  • Patent number: 10309512
Abstract: An axle assembly and method of reworking an axle assembly. The axle assembly has an axle housing and a differential carrier assembly. A central portion of the axle housing has an opening that is defined by an axle flange that has a first mating surface. The differential carrier assembly has a differential mounted on a carrier. The carrier has a carrier flange that has a second mating surface. The first mating surface is sealed to the second mating surface by seal. At least one of the first and second mating surfaces includes a groove.

  • Patent number: 10302149
Abstract: A clutch center includes a pressure receiving part. A pressure plate includes a pressure applying part. A clutch part is disposed between the pressure receiving part and the pressure applying part. A cam mechanism includes a first cam part and a second cam part. The first cam part and the second cam part are offset from the clutch center and the pressure plate in an axial direction. The first cam part includes a first slope. The second cam part includes a second slope opposed to the first slope. When the first cam part is rotated relatively to the second cam part in a first direction making up a circumferential direction, the first and second slopes are pressed against each other and separate from each other. The pressure applying part moves toward the pressure receiving part as the first cam part and the second cam part separate.

  • Patent number: 10294998
Abstract: A clutch device includes a first rotary member, a second rotary member, a clutch part, a support member, and a cam mechanism. The cam mechanism separates the support member and the second rotary member away from each other in the axial direction when the support member and the second rotary member are rotated relatively to each other. The cam mechanism includes a first cam surface, a second cam surface, a third cam surface and a fourth cam surface. The first and second cam surfaces are included in the support member. The third and fourth cam surfaces are included in the second rotary member. The first and second cam surfaces tilt to face axially inside and face oppositely to each other in a circumferential direction. The third cam surface is opposed to the first cam surface. The fourth cam surface is opposed to the second cam surface.
