Abstract: A movement-constraining assembly for a fluid-conveying system comprises a tubular body adapted to be secured to a component coupling end of a component of the fluid-conveying system. A fluid-conveying tube has a tube coupling end adapted to be connected to the component of the fluid-conveying system and defining an inner passage for fluid to pass therethrough to or from the component, the tube having an interface at the tube coupling end. A blocking nut has an inner surface complementary to at least a surface of the interface of the tube to block rotation between the tube and the blocking nut, the blocking nut further comprising an outer surface complementary to a surface of the tubular body to block rotation between the blocking nut and the component, whereby the blocking nut blocks a rotation between the fluid-conveying tube and the component coupling end.

  • Patent number: 10364618
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention include drill string components having a thread extending around a body. The leading end of the thread can have a configuration that resists jamming and cross-threading. In particular, the leading end of the thread can include a planar surface normal to the body. The leading end of the thread can provide an abrupt transition to full thread depth that helps reduce or eliminate cross-threading. The leading end of the thread can be oriented at an angle relative to the axis of the drill string component. When mating male and female threads are similarly structured, the mating threads slide together along an interface at the thread start face and are drawn into a fully thread-coupled condition. The thread starts may have full circumference mating with no jamming positions.

  • Patent number: 10302241
Abstract: A protective shield device is mounted on the joint between connected concrete hoses to protect the joint connecting one concrete hose to another from accidentally catching on an obstruction on the surface over which the concrete hose joint is moved during operation and disconnecting the two concrete hoses. The protective shield device is formed by two hollow shells that are hinged on one side and connected by friction closure members to surround and encapsulate the concrete hose joint. The assembled protective shield device is preferably in the shape of an ovoid with a larger central portion to accommodate the joint structure, and narrower end portions to provide no protruding structure that will catch any underlying obstructions that could cause the enclosed joint latch to be exposed. The protective shield device can be opened by forcing the two shell members apart, or by using a mechanically disengagable latch.

  • Patent number: 10295098
Abstract: A method and apparatus for an improved safety cam lock fitting having double cam levers having outer and inner portions so that when the outer cam levers are opened and the inner cam lever remain closed, the male and female portions of the cam lock fitting only slightly separate from each other allowing the operator to quickly reclose the cam lock fitting if the operator observes that the cam lock fitting still contains pressurized material. This is accomplished by providing a larger cam lobe on the outer cam lever and a smaller cam lobe on the inner cam lever so that when the smaller cam lobe is in a closed position and protrudes into a peripheral groove on the male portion the male and female ends have a small space therein between. Various lever locking assemblies may be used to prevent the cam levers from being inadvertently opened.
