The first pivoting member includes a pair of opposing projections secured in a stationary position to the first pair of opposing sides and the second pivoting member includes a pair of opposing apertures formed in a stationary position in the second pair of opposing sides. The opposing projections translate within the opposing apertures during the concurrent counter rotation.

Abstract: A closure assembly for a drinking cup includes an annular body, with a rim for drinking, mountable to a cup. A closure member, having apertures, is disposed within the body and extends across the cup. A sealing element, on an inner side of the closure member, and an actuator, on the opposite side of the closure member, are coupled to each other with the sealing element biased into a rest position in which it is urged against the inner side of the closure member to block the apertures and prevent liquid flow therethrough. The sealing element moves out of the rest position to allow liquid flow through the apertures when pressure sufficient to overcome the bias is applied to the actuator. The closure member includes a diaphragm that is integrally formed with a biasing member to bias the sealing element into the rest position.

The sealing disc is composed of a plurality of layers with an edge. Before the container is opened for the first time, at least one group of layers tightly closes the mouth of said container. One of the layers is a metallic layer that can be heated by induction. The other layers are non-metallic and unable to be directly heated by induction. The group of layers can be sealed, using a sealing layer, on the circumferential edge of the mouth. One of the layers is composed of a thermally insulating material. The sealing disc has at least one grip tab. The grip tab is formed from just one or more of the layers of the layer group. The surfaces of the layers that form said grip tab project beyond the edge of the metallic, induction-heatable layer of the group for the length of the surface of the grip tab.

When the mixing container is used, a button part is simply manipulated to open a lower portion of the receiver member, thereby mixing the two contents. Abstract: Twist-fold containers include wires that are pivotally connected to channels formed in the containers. Using a twisting motion, the containers including the wires are collapsed. The collapsing, twisting motion is produced though the use of wires that are displaced in a plurality of locations along the circumference of the container. The wires include horizontal sections that are configured to be retained in the base or rim of the container in a manner that permits them to rotate to transition the container between expanded and collapsed positions.
