Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing operations including: retrieving, by one or more processors, a first content item; obtaining a first view count for the first content item; determining that the first view count corresponds to trending content; and presenting the first content item to a user in a presentation arrangement of a graphical user interface with a first indication of the first view count, the first indication having a first visual attribute representing trending content.

Abstract: Technologies for providing multi-tenant support in edge resources using edge channels include a device that includes circuitry to obtain a message associated with a service provided at the edge of a network. Additionally, the circuitry is to identify an edge channel based on metadata associated with the message. The edge channel has a predefined amount of resource capacity allocated to the edge channel to process the message. Further, the circuitry is to determine the predefined amount of resource capacity allocated to the edge channel and process the message using the allocated resource capacity for the identified edge channel.

Abstract: A machine learning-based service processes requests using compressed and complete models to provide faster response times for servicing requests to process data. Initially, a host processes data using a compressed model that is stored in the host's memory and then switches to a larger, more accurate complete model after it is loaded into the host's memory. A host of the machine-learning based service may receive one or more requests to process data. In response, the host uses a compressed version of a model to begin processing the data. The host starts loading the complete version of the model into the host's memory. When the complete version of the model is loaded into memory, the host switches to process a remaining portion of the data using the complete version of the model.

Abstract: A redirection of a URL page request may be performed by monitoring an upstream path from a subscriber to the internet through an ISP. When a URL page request is detected from a subscriber for whom a redirection is required, a redirection device generates a single TCP packet response that mimics a response from the intended destination server. The single TCP packet includes a set FIN bit that closes any active session with the destination server to prevent the subscriber from accepting packets from the destination server.

Abstract: Resource use efficiency is improved while realizing quality guarantee of an application. A resource allocation device includes a storage unit that stores resource capacity information indicating a capacity of each of server resources, an SLI information collection unit that acquires information regarding an SLI at a predetermined time interval with regard to each of a plurality of applications, and a resource allocation determination unit that calculates an allocation resource amount of each application using a moving average and a standard deviation of the acquired information regarding the SLI during a predetermined period, and determines server resources which are allocation destinations of the applications by sorting the applications in descending order of the allocation resource amounts and sequentially adding the allocation resource amounts of the sorted applications within a range which does not exceed a capacity of each server resource in descending order of the allocation resource amounts.

Abstract: A monitoring system for mapping and monitoring inter-application communications in a computing ecosystem is described. The monitoring system provides consolidated visibility to computing ecosystems by providing end-to-end mapping and monitoring of inter-application communications and events, changes, incidents, and status information of applications, services, and systems. As described, the monitoring system is configured to (a) identify communication paths linking the host devices, (b) generate an ecosystem map based on the communication paths, (c) transmit a monitoring signal to the network, (d) receive a monitoring response from the host devices in response to the monitoring signal including at least a first status, (e) process the monitoring response with the ecosystem map to generate an active ecosystem map, and (f) display the active ecosystem map including the host devices and at least one status associated with the host devices.

Abstract: A document system tracks activity within comment threads associated with portions of a stored document. When activity is detected within the document, the document system generates a corresponding notification for display by a client device within a notification interface. The notification interface displays one or more notifications, each associated with activity in documents stored by the document system, and orders the notifications by document, by date, by filter, or any other suitable factor. The user may assign a priority to each document or folder such that notifications associated with documents or folders with a higher priority are displayed before those associated with a lower priority. The notifications may include portions of comment threads, and a user can reply to a comment thread via a response element of the notification interface. The user's reply is incorporated into the comment thread and stored by the document system.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to information prompt methods and apparatus. One example method includes determining a first communication object from a target communication object set, obtaining first interaction information corresponding to the first communication object, receiving input information by using an information input interface of the first communication object, determining a matching degree between the input information and the first communication object based on the input information and the first interaction information, and performing prompt if the matching degree is less than a first threshold.

Abstract: An instrumentation analysis system processes data streams received from servers executing instrumented software. The system determines a set of servers that satisfy a given criteria, for example, a set of servers with high resource utilization. The set of servers may be determined by the system based on triggers or specified by a user. The system analyzes properties of servers to determine a property that characterizes the set of servers. The property characterizing the servers is provided to users via a user interface or alerts for further analysis, for example, to analyze the cause of high resource utilization.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices, including computer-readable media, for managing operation of devices in complex systems and changing environments. In some implementations, a server system stores data indicating management plans for each of a plurality of different devices, each management plan indicating a device-specific set of program states for programs in a predetermined set of programs. The server system alters the management plans and enforces interdependence of the programs, and the server system generates a customized instruction that alters operation of the device according to the device-specific set of program states assigned in the altered management plan for the device. Abstract: A connected-device network can continually learn from abstract sensory data (e.g., speech processing, cognitive inference, and/or computer vision image segmentation) and can generate never-seen-before data in real time. In one aspect, the network devices extract important correlations in the sensor data based on network data collected at different time slice and/or locations. Further, underlying relationships in a set of data can be detected as the sensor data transverses through different layers of the network. Moreover, the network devices can provide logic in different layers to help classify the sensor data early in the detection process (e.g., instead of waiting for it to reach its final destination).

The new user has an identifier for the electronic communications system. Existing users of the electronic communications system that are known to the new user are identified. The identified existing users are sent a message notifying the identified existing users of the identifier of the new user. The identified existing users may be enabled to add the identifier of the new user to participant lists used by the identified existing users. The new user may be enabled to add identifiers of the identified existing users to a participant list of the electronic communications system used by the new user.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable medium for improving opt-out compliance are disclosed. A method includes identifying an opportunity to transmit a digital component to a client device that is identified by a given unique identifier, accessing a database, identifying, within the database and based on the accessing, an opt-out timestamp specifying when a given user corresponding to the given unique identifier was presented the opt-out opportunity, determining, whether the timestamp indicates that the user was presented with the opportunity within a specified amount of time, and processing the opportunity by submitting the opportunity to transmit the digital component to third party digital component sources in response to determining that the given user was presented with the opportunity within the specified amount of time, or refraining from submitting the opportunity in response to determining that the given user was not presented with the opportunity within the specified amount of time.

Abstract: In Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) over Low power Wireless Personal Area Networks (6LoWPAN), a distribution criterion for a prefix using a 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO) can be set. The distribution criterion for the prefix using 6CO is set, and one of the prefix using the 6CO and a prefix using a Prefix Information Option (PIO) is distributed to another communication device based on the set distribution criterion.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media to provide for progressive display of attachments on a mobile device. In some aspects, a method includes determining a sequence of media for presentation to a user, determining to insert new media between two media of the sequence of media. In some aspects, the new media may be a short form video. The method may further include receiving touch screen input while presenting the new media, and presenting additional media in response to the touch screen input. In some aspects, the additional media may be a long form video. In some aspects, additional input may be received while the additional media is presented. The new input may request a further media be presented. The further media may be a software installation dialog or a web page.

Abstract: In some implementations, a system causes electronic devices to initiate different types of interactions with users of the electronic devices, the interactions being initiated based on rules to selectively cause initiation of the interactions for the users. The system receives user action data from electronic devices that are associated with a particular program. The system generates log data that tracks instances in which conditions or triggers of the rules of the particular program are satisfied. Based on the user action data of the multiple users and the log data, the system evaluates effectiveness of the rules in maintaining or improving engagement of the users with the particular program. The system generates rule adjustment information for the particular program, such as information indicating one or more changes to the rules of the particular program or one or more new rules for initiating interactions.
