Abstract: A filling apparatus used in an evaporator system and a filling method are provided. The filling apparatus includes: a filling bottle, a magnetic cover plate, an evaporation material trough and a magnetic induction drive unit, wherein the magnetic cover plate is provided at an opening of the filling bottle, in operation the opening of the filling bottle is provided to orientate the evaporation material trough, the magnetic induction drive unit is disposed outside of the opening, and configured to be capable of driving the magnetic cover plate to open and close.

Abstract: A treatment head for filling a container that has a valve arrangement having an external valve-part and a fastening region includes a housing, a plunger, first and second fluid-ducts, a seal, and a shielding section. The plunger is held so as to be displaced for opening said valve arrangement. The first fluid-duct feeds liquid into said container, and the second fluid-duct provides a path for discharging fluid from said container. The seal bears against the external valve-part. The shielding section shields at least the fastening region from fluid carried in the first fluid-duct.

Abstract: An oral hygiene device includes a supply of liquid, a pump for propelling the to a point of use. A housing defines a cavity within which the pump is seated and which also includes an inlet and an outlet. The pump is of a kind having a hollow body with a chamber defined in a first portion, a piston disposed for reciprocation in that chamber and a motor to drive the piston and thereby the pump. A second portion of the body is coupled to an outlet. A third portion of the body is coupled to an inlet. A first check valve is at least effectively disposed in a third portion of the body and poled to pass liquid only from the inlet to the chamber. A second check valve is at least effectively disposed in the second portion of the body and is poled to pass liquid only from the chamber to the outlet.

Abstract: Display apparatus for mounting display members. Each member defines a channel open at at least one end, and preferably open at both ends and having a narrowed mouth in a front face. A support has projections engageable in the end of a channel. Preferably it is elongate, of L-section, with multiple projections on one arm of the L, such that display members of different sizes can engage different numbers. Preferably either arm of the L is mountable to a surface, so that the display members can be either parallel or perpendicular to it.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a device for selectively treating strands of hair with a treating solution. The device is formed of a fluid impervious flexible sheet material in the shape of a cap to conform to the head of a person in a generally overlying relationship to the hair thereof and having an inner surface and an outer surface. A plurality of air cells are disposed in spaced relationship about the outer surface of the sheet material forming the cap. The air cells are formed of a generally dome-shaped flexible wall member and have a base wall integral with the sheet material. The air cells are puncturable to form perforations permitting strands of hair to be pulled therethrough for treatment with the treating solution. The punctured air cell walls form a pocket seal around the strands of hair thereby preventing the penetration of the treating solution to the scalp and hair not to be treated below the sheet material.

Abstract: A device for use in applying two or more bleaches, tints, mousses, or other coloring agents to the hair. The device facilitates uniform application of multiple tints without the tints bleeding into one another.

Abstract: A sign apparatus includes a sign cabinet with a window (4) inclined towards the observation plane. Inside the window, which is a color filter, there is arranged a panel (5) with electrically driven character elements (7). The angle of inclination (.beta.) of the panel is equal to, or less than, the angle of inclination (.alpha.) of the window. Each character element is formed by obliquely disposed rows of light emitting diodes.

Abstract: A display letter mounting arrangement for use in an open face sign having a flat forward, or display, surface is disclosed. Each letter, or alphanumeric character, is provided on an individual flat panel which is inserted between generally horizontally oriented, parallel, upper and lower tracks. A high contrast, or illuminated, background screen is provided aft of the planar arrangement of letter panels which are positioned immediately adjacent one another. Each panel includes an opaque partition secured to a lateral edge of the panel along the length thereof so as to be positioned between immediately adjacent panels on the sign in an overlapping manner. Each partition, or inter-panel strip, has a cross section in the form of an "h", with the recessed portion thereof securely attached to the lateral edge of a panel permitting the extended portion of the partition to engage and overlap the proximal edge portion of an immediately adjacent panel.

Abstract: The parallel rails have a double tee cross section and the leg of the rear T fits into slots in the sides of the frame. When the frame is welded, the rails are captured with the front slots ahead of the frame so menu strips and price modules can be mounted from either end and will mesh with each other or lie over the frame to prevent light leaks.

Abstract: A display screen comprising a planar display panel, a pair of end panels and a pair of brace members, each end panel being mounted to the sides of the display panel to extend transversly from each face thereof and engage opposed portions of each face for a portion of the height of the display panel, each brace member being located one to each side of the display panel and having a horizontal portion extending between the end panel in abutting relationship with the face of the display panel.

Abstract: A picture frame made of metal extrusions of identical cross sectional shape is assembled at its corners by the use of corner plate assemblies and cam operating buttons. The corner plate assemblies include a reaction plate having cam ramps formed therein, and a reaction sub-plate. The two plates are in closely-spaced parallel relationship to each other. There is an offset in one of the plates at the corner where it is welded to the other plate. The cam operating buttons are caged between the plates but can be operated by a quarter turn with a screwdriver which will tighten or loosen the corner assembly in two picture frame members joined at a corner, to thereby secure the frame members together at a corner.

Abstract: A display module including a liquid crystal display for displaying corporate logos or other symbols is disclosed. The use of electrodes in the shape of the logo is obviated by using alternative means, such as an image of the logo silk screened on a reflecting member disposed behind the liquid crystal display.

Abstract: A fluid-tight slide fastener stringer comprising a support tape made of a fluid-tight soft material, and a row of discrete coupling elements mounted on the tape along an inner longitudinal edge portion thereof. Such tape margin is folded so as to provide therealong a contact portion engageable with a corresponding contact portion of a like companion stringer to effect a fluid-tightness between the two stringers. In order to absorb or reduce undue stress exerted on the individual coupling elements, each coupling element has a slot extending parallel to the general plane of the stringer transversely through the whole width of a coupling head portion and also extending longitudinally of the same coupling element through the coupling head portion into a base portion.

Abstract: An improved label is disclosed comprising two semi-rigid cards connected to each other by means of a thin flexible member. Each of the cards has an adhesive portion covered by a release paper and a non-adhesive portion. One end of the flexible member is attached to a respective non-adhesive portion to thereby connect the cards. The adhesive portion and the non-adhesive portion of each card are separable from each other along a perforation which facilitates the disconnection of the cards when desired.The present invention finds particular application and advantage with laboratory specimen containers. In use, one card is adhesively secured to identifying material, such as a pad of laboratory order slips, and the other card is adhesively secured to a specimen container. The identifying material is thus mechanically attached to the container though in spaced relation thereto by virtue of the flexible interconnecting member.

Abstract: A thermoplastic album page molded as a single piece, includes an integral flap and is assembled with other such pages to form a bound album. The resulting album requires no extrinsic binding hardware, locks each photograph or other displayed item in place within a page, and permits an album of any thickness to be assembled and to be opened flat to any page.

Abstract: A clip, more particularly a hose clip, including a band furnished with ratchet coupling elements comprising serrated jaws on one end of the band and a serrated tongue on the other end of the band. The tongue is insertible longitudinally between the jaws to interlock serrations on opposite sides of the tongue with the serrations of the respective jaws and thereby lock the tongue against withdrawal longitudinally. The jaws are open laterally, permitting sideways disengagement of the tongue therefrom to release the clip. The clip may be a one-piece plastics moulding.

Abstract: A frame body for retaining a display article and having a rear surface that can be releasably secured to a support surface. Included in the invention is a releasable latch mechanism for attaching the rear surface to the support surface and movable between a locked position preventing removal of the frame body from the support surface and a release position allowing removal thereof. The latch mechanism comprises a release disposed between and substantially concealed by the frame body and the support surface and operable to move the latch mechanism to the release position so as to allow removal of the frame body. Also included in the invention are a plurality of spaced apart catch brackets for mounting on the support surface and adapted to releasably engage the rear surface and to be completely retained within receptacles defined thereby.

Abstract: A single-channel microfiche master housing a strip of microfilm containing one or more frames of reduced scale images, the master being manipulatable in one axial direction only by optical readers and other microfiche-handling machines. The master is constituted by a rectangular tab having a pair of keyhole notches at spaced positions in the lower edge thereof and a single channel transparent jacket accommodating the microfilm strip, one end of the jacket being secured to the tab at a position intermediate the notches to form a T-shaped structure. The microfiche master may be stored in a standard pull-out drawer by a raised pair of rails which is bridged by the tab, the rails passing through the notches whereby the jacket is suspended therebelow in the drawer.
