Abstract: A system and method for customer and business referral with a concierge system, comprising a database comprising customer and business information, a mobile device operating a concierge application, and a referral engine, to allow users to register for and install the concierge application, and use it to place orders for products, services, or reservations with participating businesses, gives or place these orders for other users who approve of receiving the product, service, or reservation, and compensating concierge application users who have a commercial interest in operating the application, called a commercial concierge, who may be compensated for referring users to various businesses for products, services, or reservations the user may enjoy or be searching for, in lieu of a traditional concierge that may help refer customers manually.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a virtual newsroom system and a method thereof. The method comprises: receiving, through a user registration unit of a virtual newsroom system, a registration of a user; deciding through a registration approving unit of the virtual newsroom system, the registration of the user is approved or rejected; receiving through a content receiving unit of the virtual newsroom system, one or more content from an approved media person; approving, through an approving unit of the virtual newsroom system, the one or more content; publishing, on a publishing unit of the virtual newsroom system, the one or more content; and enabling, through a sales and purchase unit of the virtual newsroom system, sale, purchase and auction of the one or more content.

Abstract: Consistent with embodiments of the present invention, a social media merchandising and advertising platform may be provided. The platform may enable any third party website, page, or entity referred to herein as an “advertiser” to post interactive content on a publisher's website. The interactive content may comprise, for example, a customizable badge. The platform may enable the advertiser to create, customize, and deploy the badge for display and access on the publisher's specified domain. Moreover, the platform may enable the advertiser to provide the publisher with various specifications and elements to be integrated into a customized badge and, in turn, provide the customized badge to a publisher. Either the publisher or advertiser, individually or collectively, may then post the advertiser's badge to a website.

Abstract: In an approach for enabling multiple users to make e-commerce purchases from interactive advertisements using wearable device gestures, a processor identifies a wearable device attempting to pair with a smart display. A processor verifies a user wearing the wearable device is an authenticated user. A processor detects a gesture made by the user based on a sensor of the wearable device. A processor identifies an action the gesture is mapped to. A processor determines whether the user is authorized to complete the action mapped to the gesture detected. Responsive to determining that the user is authorized to complete the action mapped to the gesture, a processor completes the action the gesture is mapped to.

Abstract: An influence system for predicting advertisement impact for audience selection. An advertising probe campaign is operated by sending an advertisement to each entity in a treatment group of entities. A control group of entities which excludes the treatment group entities is selected and no campaign advertising content is sent to the treatment group entities. An influence model is created by comparing features of the treatment group converters to features of the control group converters. An individual frequency cap is selected for each entity that is a candidate for the advertising campaign based on a result of applying the influence model to the features of the candidate entity. The entity may be selected to receive an advertisement based on the individual frequency cap. Some embodiments are integrated with a real time bidding (RTB) exchange and a bid response may be configured based on the results of applying the influence model.

Abstract: An influence system for predicting advertisement impact for advertising response selection. A treatment group of entities is selected which have received an advertising treatment of a campaign. A control group of entities is selected which excludes the treatment group entities is selected which have not received the advertising treatment of the campaign. An influence model is created for each campaign by comparing features of the treatment group converters to features of the control group converters. A campaign is selected for an opportunity to expose a specified entity to advertising based on the result of applying each respective campaign's influence model to features of the specified entity.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for a pedestrian thoroughfare portable media projection kiosk. The method provides a portable kiosk chassis located in a pedestrian thoroughfare. A media projection subsystem attached to the kiosk projects a media message and creates a media enablement signal. The media message may be a visual display, an audio broadcast, or both. The method verifies that media has been projected in response to receiving a media enablement signal. Verification information is supplied that includes the media enablement signal, and the verification information is communicated to a server. The verification information may be communicated using a cellular telephone, an IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) device, an IEEE 802.15 Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) device, or combinations thereof. Alternatively, or in addition, the kiosk may provide a publically accessible cellular telephone booster, a WLAN access point (AP), WPAN AP, or combinations thereof.

The wireless handset receives a signal from the beacon. A user profile associated with the wireless handset comprises at least one user attribute. The system further comprises a content administration interface configured to store an association between a content item and a user attribute. The system further comprises a content delivery module configured to filter stored content items to retrieve content items associated with a user attribute. The content delivery module transmits at least one retrieved content item to the wireless handset via the network. A handset content interface displays the at least one transmitted content item on the wireless handset.

A method includes receiving, by a processor of a computer, input from a user requesting monitoring of user data generation and access on an application or website. The processor analyzes terms of service of the application or website where the user data is used or generated, and programs a monitoring bot configured to monitor the user data based on the terms of service and the received input. The monitoring bot tracks third-party access to the user data based on the terms of service, notifies the user regarding the tracked third-party access, and provides options to the user to control or monetize the tracked access to the user data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for associating a plurality of Internet-enabled devices with a common user profile for targeting Internet content or advertising. One method includes: receiving, from a plurality of Internet-enabled devices, a plurality of requests for electronic content or advertising; extracting, from each of the plurality of requests, a source IP address and a unique identifier associated with the respective Internet-enabled device; identifying each possible pair of devices from which requests were received; calculating for each possible pair of devices a probability that the pair of devices are owned or operated by a common user; and prompting a user to either confirm a characteristic of a prior browsing session or to log-in to an account associated with the common user based on a comparison of the calculated probability to one or more thresholds.

Abstract: Techniques for supporting network independent location services (LCS) are described. In one design, a location center may communicate with a terminal to establish an account for the terminal with the location center for location services. The location center may establish the account for the terminal independent of a home network or a serving network for the terminal. During signup to establish the account, the location center may (i) provide address information for the location center, security information, and/or other information for the location center and (ii) receive public identity information and/or other information for the terminal. The location center may thereafter provide location services to the terminal based on the established account and without interacting with the home or serving network for the terminal. Techniques for supporting delivery of assistance data are also described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and programs are presented for determining exposure rate. One method includes an operation for operation for receiving a request, from a client device, for a value of an exposure rate of a zone within a webpage, the request comprising at least one search parameter and information about a viewport of the presented webpage. A check is made to determine if the exposure rate has been previously calculated. When the exposure rate has not been previously calculated, a visibility height of the zone is calculated and stored in a memory. When the exposure rate has been calculated, the visibility height is retrieved from the memory. Recordings of members accessing the webpage are analyzed to determine when the visibility height of the zone is visible in member devices accessing the webpage. The exposure rate of the zone is calculated based on the determinations of visibility of the zone.

The decentralized system and methods operate with algorithms, software, devices, and databases allowing a decentralized distribution of token rewards based on the trust rating of the user. The system uses blockchain technology and is directed to a decentralized trust rating assignment wherein the verified information is saved in a blockchain ecosystem.

Abstract: Systems and methods to track display of a digital content item and distribute rewards based on the display are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may receive a display request identifying the digital content item, effectuate display of the digital content item on a wearable device, receive display information associated with the display of the digital content item on the wearable device, determine and distribute rewards to the user in accordance with the display information, and/or perform other operations.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for determining the authenticity of a digital-origin document based, at least in part, on the code of the document. By determining authenticity based on the code of the document, authentication may take into account several features that are not detectable on the rendered image of a digital-origin document. The document class of a target document is initially determined. Anomalies are then detected in the code using various detectors, including but not limited to metadata-based detectors and content-based detectors. The output of the detectors may be combined to generate a document anomaly score that indicates likelihood that the document is not authentic.
