Abstract: Provided are techniques for exploration and navigation of a content collection. A first window and a second window are created within the user interface displayed on the electronic display. A node graph visualization is displayed in the first window, wherein the node graph visualization comprises nodes representing individual content elements within the content, and wherein the nodes are clustered in proximity to each other according to topics associated with the individual content elements. A text-based topic visualization is displayed in the second window, wherein the text-based topic visualization comprises text elements representing topics associated with the individual content elements within the content. Selection is received of one or more text elements. Highlighting and zooming in is performed on a subset of nodes representing individual content elements associated with a union of the one or more text elements selected corresponding to the one or more topics of interest.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for generating, by a computing device, an electronic message. While authoring the electronic message, a contact shown in the electronic message may be identified that will receive the electronic message when the electronic message is sent. The contact may be associated with a classification based upon, at least in part, one or more attributes of the contact. A visual indication associated with the contact may be displayed based upon, at least in part, the classification of the contact, wherein the visual indication associated with the contact may be displayed while authoring the electronic message and before the electronic message is sent to the contact.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a user interface that includes a plurality of affordances including a first affordance. The first affordance is selectable to perform a respective operation. The first affordance is displayed at a first size. The device receives a user input at a location corresponding to the first affordance. In response to receiving the user input and in accordance with a determination that a text display setting has a first value, the device displays an overlay that includes an enlarged representation of the first affordance. The enlarged representation of the first affordance has a second size that is bigger than the first size. In response to receiving the user input and in accordance with a determination that the text display setting has a second value that is different from the first value, the device forgoes display of the enlarged representation of the first affordance.

Abstract: A spatial event map system including server-side data processor that maintains a spatial event map which locates events in a workspace. The spatial event map includes a log of events, entries in the log having a location of a graphical target of the event in the workspace and a time. The system includes logic to send messages including an event, a location of a graphical target of the event in the workspace and a time, to client-side network nodes; and to receive messages identifying events that create or modify a graphical target, and to add corresponding entries to the log of events. The events can include history events that are sent to the other client-side network nodes, and added to the log for the corresponding history events, and ephemeral events that are sent to other client-side network nodes without adding corresponding entries in the log.

Abstract: A system and method of transmitting data by using a widget window are provided. A method of transmitting, by a first device, a file by using a widget window includes selecting a file stored in the first device, and moving the file to the widget window, when the file is moved to the widget window, displaying a device selection list, and, when at least one device is selected from the device selection list, providing the file to the selected device, wherein the file is provided to the selected device via a second device that is connected with the first device.

Abstract: Systems and methods directed to improve the responsiveness of an application's UI and improve a user's experience are disclosed. In particular, the systems and methods implement layout and rendering of UI components in a mobile application as two independent steps: layout and mount. During the layout step, attributes related to a layout are identified. For example, during the layout step, a list of UI components in each container, and their respective sizes and positions are identified. The layout result is then used in the mount step to create an actual view hierarchy to be rendered on screen once the component becomes visible. As result of this decoupling of layout operations from the rendering operations, the CPU-intensive measure and layout operations can be moved to the background thread, saving milliseconds.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for an electronic device to share content information. The electronic device includes: a display; a processor that is electrically connected to the display; and a memory that is electrically connected to the processor. Upon the processor executing instructions stored in the memory, the processor is configured to perform: displaying a content in the display; detecting at least one shared area from the content; and generating a single image based on information associated with the at least one shared area.

Abstract: Examples described herein include systems for generating a predictive action button within a graphical user interface. The system can launch an action generator that tracks a user's behavior, either directly or through the use of an action profile. User behavior can be tracked in individual applications or across multiple applications and devices. Action modules can implement application events and procedures to track particular events and behavior information for that application. A module engine can analyze correlations between the events and behaviors. Based on this analysis, the predictive action button can be displayed for carrying out the predicted action when the corresponding application event occurs.

Abstract: Methods are provided for adjusting a music output of a vehicle audio system based on driver movements performed while listening to the music. In one embodiment, a music output of a vehicle infotainment system is adjusted responsive to monitored user behavior inside a vehicle, the monitored user behavior manifesting a user mood. In another embodiment, the music output is adjusted based on each of a user mood and a control gesture, wherein both the user mood and the gesture are identified based on user information gathered from vehicle biometric sensors and cameras while music is playing inside the vehicle.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods to improve discoverability of selectable user interface elements. In particular, the present disclosure provides computing devices that, in some implementations, intelligently identify user interface elements that are selectable (e.g., based on intelligent understanding of the user interface content) and visually modify one or more of such selectable user interface elements to indicate to the user that they are selectable. The visual modification can highlight or otherwise draw attention to the user interface element(s), thereby improving their discoverability.

Abstract: A method for evaluating user interface efficiency includes discerning user actions with the user interface occurring between each of a plurality of adjacent pairs of transaction points. Those adjacent pairs of transaction points are evaluated to identify a given one of a plurality of user flows associated with the user interface. The identified user actions occurring between each adjacent pair of transaction points are assessed to calculate an efficiency score. The efficiency score is associated with the identified user flow and is indicative of user interface efficiency.

Abstract: A server computer runs several remote mobile operating systems. A remote mobile app running on one of the remote mobile operating systems generates a user interface that includes an input field for receiving a credential. The user interface is displayed on a touchscreen of a mobile device that is in communication with the server computer. A touchscreen keyboard with an autofill button is displayed on the touchscreen. When a user of the mobile device clicks on the autofill button, the credential of the user is retrieved and sent from the mobile device to the server computer, where the credential is entered into the input field.
