    Abstract: Spray nozzle device for spraying a cast strand or similar metallurgical products with a misty air/water mixture for uniformly cooling the cast strand. The air/water mixture is produced in a mixing chamber which acts as a diffusor and includes an air inlet, a water inlet, and a nozzle outlet approximately in alignment with the air inlet. The air inlet is arranged in an air inlet nozzle, the tip of which protrudes into an upper region of the mixing chamber and preferably has air outlet holes oriented perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the mixing chamber. Water enters near the tip through at least one water outlet hole oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and placed such that the water jet exiting the water outlet hole flows past the air outlet holes. The air flow or air pressure and the water flow or water pressure do not influence each other.

The scent stick can have a length to average cross-sectional diameter ratio of at least about 4:1 according to some embodiments. The scent stick can be colored to blend into an environmental setting to make the presence of the scent stick unobtrusive. The scent stick may also be attached or hung by the addition of a hanger or hoop. The scent stick may be hung from a tree, automobile mirror or a person as an adornment. Other embodiments are also described.

The sensor provides data relating to at least one of a position and an orientation of the piercing tip relative to the surface. The controller determines an angular orientation of the piercing tip relative to the surface based on the data.

The engagement portions 102D and 129B are provided in both the anchor 102 and the valve member 114A so as to be engaged with each other when the anchor 102 is displaced in a valve opening direction with respect to the valve member 114A, thereby regulating the displacement of the anchor 102 in the valve opening direction.

    Abstract: The drip irrigation system allows for the irrigation of soil with carbon dioxide-infused water. The drip irrigation system includes a pipe having first and second inlets. The first inlet is adapted for receiving pressurized carbon dioxide gas, and the second inlet is adapted for receiving water under pressure. A plurality of drip nozzles are mounted to the pipe, such that each drip nozzle is in fluid communication with an interior of the pipe. An inner tube is mounted in the interior of the pipe and is in fluid communication with the first inlet for receiving the pressurized carbon dioxide gas. The pressurized carbon dioxide is expelled through a plurality of ports of the inner tube to mix with the water flowing within the interior of the pipe. This mixture forms water infused with carbon dioxide, which is then released, in the forms of drops, by the plurality of drip nozzles.
