Abstract: Tailgates, tailgates with integrated workbench structures, vehicle assemblies with the same, and methods of manufacturing, integrating, and using the same are disclosed. The tailgates and other pivoting-structures described herein can include one or more integrated workbench structures that are adjustable into different configurations, e.g., at least a first configuration and a second configuration. This allows the workbench structures to support different functions, e.g., holding, supporting, cutting, drilling, sanding, assembling, and/or disassembling objects, among other things. The integrated workbench structures can include support arms, bracing elements, vises, rulers, fasteners, or other adjustable structures that can be operated, modified, or used in different circumstances. The tailgates and other pivoting-structures described herein can also include elements that provide support in an open position, e.g., in some instances, without the use of cables, arms, or struts.

Abstract: An energy storage underbody is provided for a motor car body-in-white in which a vehicle floor is laterally delimited by side sills and is reinforced by side members and/or cross members, and in which an energy storage device is disposed on the underside of the vehicle floor. In order to obtain an energy storage device of particularly simple construction and a particularly economical, stiffened underbody, the energy storage underbody has at least one housing of the energy storage device, the housing being non-loadbearing in terms of the body-in-white, and has at least one additional side member or cross member disposed on the topside of the vehicle floor to reinforce the underbody.

Abstract: A storage tunnel assembly for the bed of a pickup truck or other vehicle. The storage tunnel assembly generally includes a deployable vertical wall separated from a bulkhead of the bed and disposed across a width of the bed and a deployable cover separated from a floor of the bed between the vertical wall and the bulkhead and disposed across the width of the bed. The vertical wall, the cover, the bulkhead, and the floor define a storage space within a space defined by the bed. The vertical wall and the cover may be fixed components, separate components, and/or hinged components in various assemblies. One or both side walls of the bed define a storage tunnel access opening coincident with the storage space defined by the vertical wall, the cover, the bulkhead, and the floor and may include a door adapted to selectively open and close the associated storage tunnel access opening.

In the vehicle equipped with a battery pack, right and left second floor cross members support a rear portion of a front seat, and right and left third floor cross members support a front portion of a rear seat. First to fourth floor longitudinal frames extend in a front-rear direction of the vehicle body between the right and left second floor cross members and the right and left third floor cross members, and are raised upward from a floor panel. The battery pack is arranged below the floor panel and is fixed to the first to fourth floor longitudinal frames.

Abstract: An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crash box configured as a hollow-chamber profile and a connection panel with means for connecting the crash box on the vehicle side approximately on a longitudinal carrier of a vehicle. The connection panel has at least one connecting tab projecting in the direction of the crash box and integrally connected to the crash box. The at least one connecting tab engages into the hollow-chamber of the crash box and is connected on the inside to a wall of the hollow-chamber profile by the flat side, and, in the region where a connecting tab of this type is attached to the hollow-chamber profile, the side wall has an embossing pointing into the inside of the hollow profile, with the connecting tab being connected to same at the top by the flat side.

Abstract: A vehicle and liner assembly includes a recreational vehicle having a housing, a front end, a rear end, a top, a bottom, and a pair of sidewalls. A frame assembly is provided wherein, the housing is mounted on and supported by the frame assembly. The liner is attached to the frame assembly and covers at least a substantial portion of the bottom of the housing. The liner has a first face having projections extending therefrom that are also attached to a second face. In another embodiment of the invention, a trailer and liner combination, is provided that includes a vehicle having a housing with a front end, a rear end, a top, a bottom, a pair of sidewalls, and a door providing access to a cargo area defined by the housing. A frame assembly is provided wherein, the housing is mounted on and supported by the frame assembly.

The weakened region has a lower material thickness than the remainder of the assembly carrier material. The weakened region acts as a predetermined breaking point and forms a periphery of a service opening. The weakened region is arranged in a ring all around the break-out element. The break-out element is jointly formed with the assembly carrier in a common injection mold.

Abstract: A motorcycle includes a side cowl that covers a motorcycle body from an outside in a motorcycle width direction, and a cowl cover that partially covers the side cowl from the outside in the motorcycle width direction and is smaller than the side cowl. The cowl cover protrudes outward in the motorcycle width direction from the side cowl in a region in a height direction, in which the cowl cover is attached.

The table assembly includes a stowed position in which the supporting surface defines a first plane and an extended position in which the supporting surface defines a second plane generally parallel to the first plane. The extended position is rotationally displaced from the stowed position. A center of gravity of the table member may be spaced from the wall by a first horizontal distance when in the stowed position and may be spaced from the wall by a second horizontal distance greater than the first horizontal distance when in the extended position. If desired, an upper stay member can be positioned above the table member to limit upward movement of the table member.
