  • Patent number: 9830673
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for managing accounts in a diabetes management system. The method includes receiving, by an account manager, a request to deactivate a first account associated with a healthcare provider. The first account may be associated with a plurality of patient accounts. The account manager may be implemented as computer executable instructions executing on a computer processor of a server device. The method includes removing, by the account manager, access to data associated with the first account. Each of the patient accounts associated with the first account are identified and may be deactivated by the account manager. An electronic notification may be sent to a person associated with each of the identified patient accounts, advising the person that the corresponding patient account has been deactivated. An audit record may be created in a data store, the audit record indicating the deactivation of the first account.

  • Patent number: 9618967
Abstract: A portable data-management system may be easily employed with multiple processing devices by eliminating the need to pre-install additional programs, agents, device drivers, or other software components on the hosts. A portable storage device contains software for a data-management application, which receives and processes test data from a meter that measures an analyte. The portable device may employ an interface protocol that makes the portable device immediately compatible with different operating systems and hardware configurations. Once the portable device is connected to the host, the data-management application can be automatically launched. The convenience and portability of a data-management system may be enhanced by integrating advanced data processing and display features with the portable device. The users may access some advanced presentations of health data without having to launch the data-management application on a separate host.

  • Patent number: 9420983
Abstract: When quantifying neo-vasculature growth measured using a CT scanner (10), a known blood voxel is identified and adjoining voxels are compared thereto by a quantifier (52) to determine whether they are blood voxels, in order to grow a 3D image of the blood vessels. A removable Hounsfield calibration phantom (56) is positioned in a subject support (12) and concurrently scanned with the subject during each scan, and a Hounsfield unit calibrator (54) automatically calibrates acquired CT data to the phantom. A transport system comprising a plurality of movement-arresting locations facilitates cheaply and repeatably locking a CT detector (20), in six degrees of movement, at a plurality of locations in the scanner gantry.

  • Patent number: 9129370
Abstract: The CT image processor determines the position of the liver in the body of a subject based on CT image. The PET image processor determines the position of the liver in the body of a subject based on PET image. The CT image processor calculates the displacement in the positions of the liver determined by the CT and PET images. The CT image processor extracts the contour of the liver from a CT image. The CT image processor generates a correction CT image by modifying a CT image by moving a CT image to decrease the displacement of the extracted contour in the internal area. The PET image processor performs decrease correction based on the modified CT image.

  • Patent number: 8725532
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring controlled substance distribution include receiving a healthcare transaction at a service provider computer. The healthcare transaction may be parsed to determine the healthcare provider submitting the healthcare transaction, the drug being prescribed as part of the healthcare transaction and the class of controlled substance to which the drug being prescribed belongs. Counters associated with total scripts prescribed by the healthcare provider and the class of controlled substance may be incremented upward in view of the healthcare transaction being approved by a claims processor. A current percentage of the class of controlled substances being prescribed can be calculated for the healthcare provider and compared to a threshold percentage for the particular class of controlled substance. If the current percentage violates the threshold percentage, a notification can be sent to a corporate level or management level for the healthcare provider for review.
