  • Patent number: 11080282
Abstract: In one embodiment, a complex query includes components that are arranged in a hierarchical structure including a first type of filter and a second type of filter and are connected by connectors. The method selects a first data set and selects a second data set for the components. The second data set being generated by processing data in the first data set for the second type of filter and the second data set includes entries describing a result of the processing. The first type of filter is applied to the first data set and the second type of filter to the second data set for the components where the information describing the result is used by the second type of filter to filter entries and first type of filter filters entries based on column values in the first data set. The method combines outputs of the components using the connectors.

  • Patent number: 11048697
Abstract: A knowledge graph is built based on a corpus stored in the computer system. The corpus includes a set of searchable events and each event includes a respective set of entities. A set of entities is identified in a first set of significant events returned by natural language query (NLQ). The knowledge graph determines which ones of the set of entities are related to the entities in the NLQ to produce a filtered set of entities. The filtered set of entities is used to identify a second set of significant events in the selected corpus. Members of the first and second set of significant events are presented to a user as a search result.

  • Patent number: 10997154
Abstract: In one embodiment, a service receives a one or more digests to verify a plurality of requests that were performed by a request handler for one or more clients. The digests summarize processing of the plurality of requests using a first contract. The information for the one or more digests is stored in a plurality of blocks in a distributed ledger. A second contract is executed to verify the processing of the plurality of requests. The second contract generates a first set that stores states for reads of values from the data store; generates a second set that stores states for values written to the data store, and verifies the processing by checking states in the first set are a subset of states in the second set.

  • Patent number: 10977232
Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge secured with a blockchain is disclosed. The magnetic tape cartridge includes a solid-state cartridge memory, a reel of magnetic tape containing data, and a blockchain having a series of blocks. Each block in the blockchain contains a hash digest based on a portion of the data stored on the reel of magnetic tape and data pointers that link that portion of data stored on the reel of magnetic tape to each respective block. The blockchain blocks are stored in the solid-state cartridge memory. The portion of data upon which the hash digest is based is not redundantly stored in the solid-state cartridge memory with the block. The portion of data may be a logical volume, a logical partition, or all data stored on the reel of magnetic tape. The magnetic tape cartridge may also include a table containing pages stored within the solid-state cartridge memory with one of the pages being allocated for containing the blockchain.
