  • Patent number: 9949294
Abstract: A client station (STA), when operating in a wireless network, receives data sent by an access point (AP) on a first channel comprising at least one subchannel. During reception of the data on the first channel, the STA monitors channel availability of an additional set of one or more subchannels. In response to a detected availability of at least one newly-available subchannel, the STA sends at least one notification to the AP identifying STA-side availability of the newly-available subchannel(s). The STA subsequently receives data from the AP on the newly-available subchannel(s), which is sent in response to the at least one notification. The AP, when communicating data to the STA, receives the at least one notification from the STA and, in response thereto, initiates data transmission on one or more of the newly-available channel(s).

  • Patent number: 9832788
Abstract: Mechanisms for operating a wireless user equipment device, to determine the state of data scheduling activity. Such activity state (and other information such as measurements of signal interference and/or channel condition) may be used to dynamically control the selection of a high-power high-performance receiver vs. a low-power basic receiver. A first mechanism involves transitioning to a high activity state and starting a timer upon each occurrence of scheduled subframe. A transition to the low activity state occurs whenever the timer expires. A second mechanism involves filtering a sequence of binary-valued indicators corresponding respectively to a sequence of time intervals. Each indicator indicates whether a subframe is scheduled during the corresponding time interval. The filter output is compared to a threshold to determine high/low activity state.

  • Patent number: 9807740
Abstract: When downlink data allocation is indicated in an ePDCCH, this terminal device can determine PUCCH resources to be used in notification of response signals indicating results of error detection of downlink data without imposing scheduling restrictions on future DL subframes. In this device, an extraction unit (204) receives downlink data on multiple unit bands. A CRC unit (211) detects errors in the downlink data. A response signal generation unit (212) generates a response signal by using the results of error detection of the downlink data obtained by the CRC unit (211). The control unit (208) arranges the response signal in the PUCCH resources corresponding to the current DL subframe.

  • Patent number: 9602390
Abstract: A node device receives first data communicated between the node device and adjacent node devices. The node device calculates a link cost between the node device and each of the adjacent node devices, based on the first data, and corrects the link cost using a first cost depending on communication performance of the each adjacent node device. The node device stores, in association with the each adjacent node device, a first integrated link-cost value obtained by adding the corrected link cost to a second integrated link-cost value that is obtained by summing up link costs along a communication route from a destination node device serving as a final destination of second data to the each adjacent node device. The node device transmits, to the adjacent node devices, the first data including the second integrated link-cost value and a second cost depending on communication performance of the node device.
