  • Patent number: 11860302
Abstract: A concept of characterizing an object based on measurement samples from one or more location sensors, the measurement samples having a first spatial resolution. The measurement samples are quantized to a grid map of weighted cells having a second spatial resolution lower than the first spatial resolution, wherein a measurement sample contributes to a weight coefficient of one or more weighted cells depending on a measurement accuracy. Parameters of one or more lines fitting the weighted cells are computed to obtain a characterization of the object.

  • Patent number: 11836900
Abstract: The technique of the present disclosure can add a gloss to image data according to the hair flow of a subject. An image data obtaining unit obtains input image data, and a characteristic amount calculating unit calculates characteristic amounts for the input image data. The characteristic amount calculating unit obtains a degree to which directions of hair flow are concentrated to a predetermined direction (a degree of alignment) in a predetermined range based on the directions of hair flow, and sets this as a characteristic amount indicative of the degree of alignment of the directions of hair flow. A determining unit estimates the state of the hair flow of the entire input image data based on the characteristic amounts thus calculated, and determines whether to correct the input image data. A correcting unit performs a gloss adding correction to the input image data.

  • Patent number: 11831833
Abstract: The present technology relates to image signal processing. One aspect of the present technology involves analyzing reference imagery gathered by a camera system to determine which parts of an image frame offer high probabilities of—relative to other image parts—containing decodable watermark data. • Patent number: 11823499
Abstract: Interactive based on said set steps of authentication methods for the recognition of a person. During authentication, a previously stored enrollment image is presented on a display to the person. A candidate person is instructed to present a reproduced image of the same scene and/or object to a camera while the person is holding the camera (mobile camera for example) unsupported in free space with respect to the scene or object. Alternatively the user can hold the object unsupported in free space with respect the camera using the camera, a candidate image of the viewed scene or object is captured and presented with the previously stored enrollment image. The candidate person aligns the candidate image with the previously stored enrollment image. On alignment, the candidate image is verified as an authentic image of the person and the candidate person is authenticated as the person previously enrolled.

  • Patent number: 11816835
Abstract: Taking a digital implant or abutment level digital impression by means of intra-oral, computed tomography or other imaging method provides the restorative doctor and laboratory accurate and effective data for determining the implant position, angulation and locking feature orientation without a physical impression. Such data is correlated with a digital library to produce an output which enables design and fabrication of an accurate restorative device such as a prosthetic tooth or crown. In this way the time-consuming, costly and error prone mechanical replication of the relevant dental anatomy is obviated.

  • Patent number: 11816836
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for assessing a vessel obstruction. The methods and systems obtain a volumetric image dataset of a myocardium and at least one coronary vessel, wherein the myocardium comprises muscular tissue of the heart. A three-dimensional (3D) image corresponding to a coronary vessel of interest is created from the volumetric image dataset. Feature data that represents features of both the myocardium and the coronary vessel of interest is generated. At least some of the feature data is determined by a first machine learning-based model based on the 3D image. A second machine learning-based model is used to determine at least one parameter based on the feature data, wherein the at least one parameter represents functionally significant coronary lesion severity of the coronary vessel of interest.

  • Patent number: 11804077
Abstract: A generic gesture detecting method executed by a generic gesture detecting device includes steps of: receiving a current sensing signal from a sensing unit; generating a current image according to the current sensing signal; determining whether the current image is similar with a stored image stored in a memory unit; when the current image is similar with the stored image, detecting the current image and the stored image to be a gesture signal; when the current image is different from the stored image, storing the current image into the memory unit, and returning to the step of receiving a current sensing signal. Since the generic gesture detecting device can automatically detect the gesture signal, the user may not need to enable a detecting time period before implementing a command motion. Therefore, the user can make the command motion without enabling the detecting time period, and the convenience can be increased.

  • Patent number: 11741699
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for using one or more feature recognition system(s) to identify features in a scanned image and to associate tags with identified features are described. Probabilities of a feature being present are taken into consideration in some embodiments. In various embodiments once a tag has been determined as corresponding to a feature which has been confirmed as being in the scanned image synonyms for the tag word are identified and also associated with the scanned image. By using results of multiple automated feature recognition systems and generating overall probabilities that a feature is present in an image more reliable tagging can be implemented in an automated manner than in system which rely on a single AI system without the need for extensive operator input with respect to identification of all features in the image which are to be tagged.

  • Patent number: 11741749
Abstract: Described is a technique for optimization an image for facial detection. More specifically, described is a process of predicting the location of a face within an image and adjusting image settings based on at least a portion of the predicted location of the face. An image may be adjusted based on the characteristics of a metering region, which may be selected prior to performing facial detection. For example, the metering region may be a specified shape with dimensions equal to a certain percentage of the input image and placed at a specified location. The result of using such a metering region is that the image adjustments may be based on a portion of the face, and therefore, may be optimized for facial detection.
