  • Patent number: 6543930
Abstract: This invention resides in a novelty holder clock having unusual and unique features. The card holder clock has a front, nut-like configuration which has a round cavity for receiving a round clock on its front face. The front, nut-like configuration is connected to an elongated circular shaped or round back by first, second and third, spaced apart elongated cylindrical shafts, a second, nut-like configuration with a central round hole passing through it is slidably connected to the first and third cylindrical shafts. The first and third cylindrical shafts pass through two spaced apart round holes in the second, nut-like configuration. A coiled spring passes through the center hole in the second, nut-like configuration and rests on top of the first and third, elongated cylindrical shafts. The second, elongated cylindrical shaft passes through the coiled spring and rests on the bottom of said coiled spring. The coiled spring is anchored to the second, elongated cylindrical shaft by a round or circular hook.

  • Patent number: 6122227
Abstract: A timer is made up of a base unit and an operation unit. The base unit is composed of a support body, a disk, and a core located between the support body and the disk. The disk is provided with a retaining ring having an indentation, and a timing scale. The core has a rotary shaft extending toward the disk. The operation unit consists of a lower housing, an upper housing, an action member, and an elastic member. The upper housing has a cylindrical portion provided with a sliding portion and a shaft fastening portion. The shaft fastening portion is provided with an axial hole in which the rotary shaft of the core of the base unit is retained. The upper housing is disposed on the lower housing and provided with a pointer corresponding in location to the scale of the disk of the base unit.

  • Patent number: 6045257
Abstract: A radiation detector for axillary temperature measurement comprises a wand having an axially directed radiation sensor at one end and an offset handle at the opposite end. The radiation sensor is mounted within a heat sink and retained by an elastomer in compression. The radiation sensor views a target surface through an emissivity compensating cup and a plastic film. A variable reference is applied to a radiation sensor and amplifier circuit in order to maintain full analog-to-digital converter resolution over design ranges of target and sensor temperature with the sensor temperature either above or below target temperature.
