  • Patent number: 7180498
Abstract: There is provided a display device and method which is capable of securing the optimum operation thereof irrespective of an external clock signal. An input circuit receives image data input thereto. First to N-th (N?2) storage circuits store image data input via the input circuit such that the image data is divided into respective N regions. First to M-th (M?N) driving circuits drive respective regions M of at least part of the display block formed by dividing the at least part of the display block. An image data supply circuit reads out image data stored in each of the first to N-th storage circuits and supplies the image data to a corresponding one of the driving circuits. A clock signal generation circuit generates a clock signal for enabling image data to be read out from the first to N-th storage circuits and be supplied to the first to M-th driving circuits, in synchronism therewith.

  • Patent number: 7173584
Abstract: A transistor circuit is provided including a driving transistor where conductance between the source and the drain is controlled in response to a supplied voltage, and a compensating transistor where the gate is connected to one of the source and the drain, the compensating transistor being connected so as to supply input signals to the gate of the driving transistor through the source and drain. In a transistor circuit where conductance control in a driving transistor is carried out in response to the voltage of input signals, it is possible to control the conductance by using input signals of a relatively low voltage and a variance in threshold characteristics of driving transistors is compensated. With this transistor circuit, a display panel that can display picture images with reduced uneven brightness is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7161585
Abstract: There is described a method of post-processing and reporting detected displacement in an optical pointing device as well as a sensing device for an optical pointing device implementing this method. Displacement is detected and a first count representative of a magnitude of the detected displacement is accumulated in an associated accumulation unit, this first count representing the magnitude of the detected displacement at a first resolution (or detection resolution). The first count accumulated in the accumulation unit is processed to convert this first count into a report count representing the magnitude of the detected displacement at a second resolution (or reporting resolution) lower than the first resolution. This report count is then reported, for instance to a PC or an external controller. These operations are repeated to generate periodic motion reports at the second resolution.

  • Patent number: 6958746
Abstract: The present invention provides a modular, flexible system for deploying multiple video perception technologies. The telepresence system of the present invention is capable of allowing an operator to control multiple mono and stereo video inputs in a hands-free manner. The raw data generated by the input devices is processed into a common zone structure that corresponds to the commands of the user, and the commands represented by the zone structure are transmitted to the appropriate device. This modularized approach permits input devices to be easily interfaced with various telepresence devices. Additionally, new input devices and telepresence devices are easily added to the system and are frequently interchangeable. The present invention also provides a modular configuration component that allows an operator to define a plurality of views each of which defines the telepresence devices to be controlled by a particular input device.
