  • Patent number: 10296139
Abstract: A refreshing method of sensing baseline values for a capacitive sensor device and the capacitive sensor device are applied to confirm whether the differences between the current measured values and the factory or record baseline values are approximately equal, to determine whether to use current measured values as the sensing baseline values used in the following sensing procedure. When the differences are approximately equal, the current measured values are used as the sensing baseline values. When the differences are not approximately equal, the factory baseline values are used as the sensing baseline values, and the correcting procedure of the sensing baseline values of the sensing points is executed. In the correcting procedure, the signal characteristic of the measured value of each sensing point is detected to be high frequency or low frequency, to determine whether to refresh the corresponding sensing baseline values by the current measured values.

  • Patent number: 10216266
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that allow a user to interact with a device using gaze detection. In the provided systems and methods, the gaze detection is initiated by detecting a triggering event. Once gaze detection has been initiated, detecting a gaze of a user may allow the user to activate a display component of the device, pass a security challenge on the device, and view content and alerts on the device. The gaze detection may continue looking for the user's gaze and keep the display component of the device activated as long as a gaze is detected, but may deactivate the display component of the device once a gaze is no longer detected. To conserve power the gaze detection may also be deactivated until another triggering event is detected.

  • Patent number: 10019057
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for managing the display of images on a head mounted device (HMD). One method includes an operation for tracking the gaze of a user wearing the HMD, where the HMD is displaying a scene of a virtual world. In addition, the method includes an operation for detecting that the gaze of the user is fixed on a predetermined area for a predetermined amount of time. In response to the detecting, the method fades out a region of the display in the HMD, while maintaining the scene of the virtual world in an area of the display outside the region. Additionally, the method includes an operation for fading in a view of the real world in the region as if the HMD were transparent to the user while the user is looking through the region. The fading in of the view of the real world includes maintaining the scene of the virtual world outside the region.

  • Patent number: 9952720
Abstract: A processing system for a capacitive touch screen comprises sensor circuitry and control logic. The sensor circuitry is configured to communicatively couple with sensor electrodes of the capacitive touch screen. The control logic is configured to operate the capacitive touch screen in a first mode comprising interference sensing at a first level and input object sensing.
