  • Patent number: 4476494
Abstract: A stabilized image of a scene is provided by scanning the scene with a camera to provide pixels representative of the scene, providing individual representations of the pixels during each scan of the camera as digital words identifying an elevation address, an azimuth address, and the brightness of the pixel, generating a reference frame having a matrix of predetermined points each having an azimuth address and an elevation address, maintaining the frame in an invariable position with respect to the scene irrespective of angular movements of the camera, and for assigning the pixels to those of the points with which there is the best address match.

  • Patent number: 4458270
Abstract: A negative to positive image converting apparatus comprising a video camera mounted detachably on one end of a base member, a housing mounted onto and substantially at right angles to the other end of base member, the housing comprising a lamp housing and a mirror housing, a color filter means disposed between the lamp housing and the mirror housing, projecting guide pins for guiding a film holder over an aperture in the mirror housing. In use light is projected through a negative in the film holder and via a mirror in the mirror housing to the video camera. The video camera has a negative to positive inversion switch so that a positive output video signal can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4454536
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for correcting video signals are provided for printing simulation with a color monitor. Excellent mixed-color simulation can be performed in a printing process processing with a relatively high U.C.R.%. Mixed-color signals of secondary colors, a tertiary color, a quaternary color, black x primary colors, and black x secondary colors are detected from the signals (Y), (M), (C) and (K) for yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C and black K. The mixed-color signals are subjected to overlap compensation to provide overlap-compensated mixed-color signals. The signals (Y), (M), (C) and (K) are corrected using the overlap-compensated mixed-color signals so as to reduce color value of the mixed-colors in small portions. Printing simulation with a color monitor is facilitated.
