Abstract: A liquid supply apparatus with leakage protection. The apparatus includes a housing defining a storage cavity having a total volume including a liquid portion and a gas portion. The storage cavity extends along a cavity axis. A capillary member is fluidly coupled with the liquid to transport the liquid to the external atmosphere. The apparatus includes a plurality of vents that prevent liquid from flowing therethrough while permitting air to pass therethrough. A hub component is mounted within the storage cavity and it includes a plurality of radial vent passageways extending between the storage cavity and a primary vent passageway, which in turn forms a pathway to the external atmosphere. The vents may be located and arranged such that irrespective of inclination and rotational orientation of the housing relative to a gravitational vector at least one of the vents is in spatial communication with the gas.

The liquid applicator includes a container having a container body that includes an opening and a chamber that is configured to receive and hold the liquid; and, a housing assembly removably attached to the container, the housing assembly including a liquid application element and a nozzle that delivers the liquid from the chamber to the application element, wherein the nozzle is configured to deliver the liquid from the chamber to the application element when the housing assembly is positioned in a first position with respect to the container, and wherein the container body comprises an interface, a main body portion, and a base.

Abstract: A container holds spreadable food and a handheld spreader. A sheath is configured on an inside surface of the container comprising a top sheath opening at a top of the sheath sized to receive the handheld spreader. The top sheath opening is configured with a same size and shape as a cross-section of the handheld spreader to scrape and clean the handheld spreader when the handheld spreader is slid in the sheath. The sheath has sheath opening near a bottom of the sheath configured to permit flow of liquid therethrough when the handheld spreader is slid in the sheath. The handheld spreader can fixedly attach to a central underside of a screw on lid. The handheld spreader can have a handle area on an end and a spreading surface on an opposing end. The sheath can be integrally formed of the same material as the container.

Abstract: A lip balm container is presented as a tubular member having a hollow interior with axial opposite proximal and distal ends and a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal and distal ends. The tubular member has a first chamber in the hollow interior adjacent the proximal end, a dental floss cutting tool adjacent to the distal end, and a second chamber in the hollow interior intermediate the first chamber and the distal end. The first chamber receives lip balm and exposes the lip balm from the proximal end. The second chamber receives a coil of dental floss with a center axis of the coil of dental floss being arranged perpendicular to the lip balm container longitudinal axis. An aperture communicates with the second chamber and allows the lead end of the dental floss to advance from the second chamber to the dental floss cutting tool.

When the frangible applicator tip is broken, the fluid flows from the source to an absorbent member attached to the applicator tip to spread the liquid on a surface. The frangible tip may comprise a support element permanently connected to the fluid source, a relatively rigid tongue element, and a frangible region therebetween. The tongue element may comprise ribs for reinforcement. The frangible tip further may comprise a semi-permeable or non-permeable cover to control the speed and direction of the dispersion of the fluid. The dispensing applicator may be used in various medical applications. A fin member, which may be formed as two securable halves, is configured to be disposed about the applicator to facilitate securing of the applicator within an absorbent member and to minimize risk of loss of tongue element portions due to possible separation proximate the frangible region during a use.

The outer shell can rotate relative to the holder via a hinge and then push a support cup that contains the product along a channel and through an orifice in the holder, thus exposing the product for use. In an embodiment, the holder contains an indentation or hole that locks with a corresponding peg located the outer shell when closed. In an embodiment, the holder and outer shell are prevented from moving longitudinally relative to one another by virtue of configuring the lower position of the guideway such that it beneficially locks with the guide when the device is in a closed position.

Abstract: A paint applicator, kit and methodology for using the same is disclosed. For example, a paint applicator that allows a user to load a desired amount of paint, such as a water based or other low VOC paint, into the paint applicator and an advancement mechanism that dispenses paint at a rate controllable by the user is disclosed. The advancement mechanism can include a system that translates a rotational force applied to an end cap of the applicator into a linear force that advances a piston which in turn applies paint to an applicator portion. The paint applicator may be reusable or may include a ratchet system that allows for only one time use. The methodology and kit can incorporate a syringe for loading paint into the paint applicator, thus reducing the loss of paint through spilling.
