  • Patent number: 7522119
Abstract: A multiband antenna with removed coupling includes a radiator formed as a meander line bent zigzag several times and having a gap filling part in at least one area between neighboring meander lines. The gap filling part interconnects the neighboring meander lines. The multiband antenna further includes a ground connected with the radiator and at least one switch element mounted in an area along the longitudinal direction of the radiator and configured to alternately short or open an area of the radiator. Accordingly, two different resonance frequencies can be tuned using the single antenna, and the antenna efficiency can be enhanced by removing the coupling between the resonant frequencies that are tuned through the gap filling.

  • Patent number: 7511674
Abstract: A shunt antenna mountable on an aircraft comprises a lower plate, an antenna element formed above the lower plate and integrated within a dorsal fin of the aircraft where the antenna element is substantially slant relative to the lower plate; one or more couplers formed on the lower plate and operatively connected to a lower forward end of the antenna element. The couplers transmit radio frequency signals to the antenna element, and the antenna element and the lower plate are separated by air to produce a capacitor effect.

  • Patent number: 7466289
Abstract: An integrated module of antenna and connector has an insulative housing receiving a plurality of conductive terminals therein, a metal shell shielding the insulative housing, and a coupling device assembled on the metal shell. The metal shell is grounded and defines a slot with a particular shape. A feed-in terminal is provided on a side of the slot and includes a soldering portion and a contact portion. The soldering portion of the feed-in terminal connects with a circuit board. The coupling device contacts the contact portion of the feed-in terminal, feeding in high-frequency voltage which forms voltage difference relative to a plane of the slot. A resonant electromagnetic field is produced in the slot for working as an antenna for electromagnetic wave radiation. Thus, functions of an antenna and a connector are combined, reducing the occupied space and decreasing the cost.

  • Patent number: 7466286
Abstract: A folding frame for mounting an antenna on an upstanding support structure including first and second support arms pivotally secured to an upper mounting bracket and third and fourth support arms which are pivotally secured to a lower mounting bracket with the upper and lower mounting brackets being secured to the support structure. Support members are pivotally secured to the outer ends of the support arms and are pivotally connected together so that the frame may be pivotally moved from a folded position to a non-folding position. When the frame is in its folded position, it is easily shipped on a pallet.

  • Patent number: 7443355
Abstract: A first set of screws secures a Cassegrain-configuration microwave antenna's primary reflector to its low-noise block down-converter without additionally securing that reflector or the low-noise block down-converter to the antenna's feed tube, which a second set of screws separately secures to the low-noise block down-converter.

  • Patent number: 7439932
Abstract: An antenna mounting bracket has a stationary leaf, a housing, a sliding plug and a spring. The stationary leaf has a connecting rod formed coaxially on and protruding from the stationary leaf. The housing is connected pivotally on the stationary leaf and has a proximal end, a distal end, a cavity formed coaxially in the proximal end and has a connecting leaf formed coaxially on and protruding from the distal end and attaching to an antenna. The sliding plug is mounted slidably in the cavity and presses against the connecting rod. The spring is mounted in the cavity between the housing and the sliding plug to press the sliding plug against the connecting rod. The antenna mounting bracket connects an antenna to a notebook computer and allows the antenna to fold against the notebook computer when not being used. Consequently, the antenna is stable when folded or extended.
