Abstract: The present invention provides heterocyclic linker compounds useful for linking drug moieties to ligands. The compounds also include drug-ligand conjugates comprising a ligand capable of targeting a selected cell population, and a drug connected to the ligand by a heterocyclic linker moiety. The linker moiety comprises a peptide sequence that is a substrate for an intracellular enzyme, for example a cathepsin, that cleaves the peptide at an amide bond. The peptide further contains a self-immolating moiety which connects the drug and the protein peptide sequence. Upon cleavage of the peptide sequence by an intracellular enzyme the self-immolating moiety cleaves itself from the drug moiety such that the drug moiety is in an underivatized and active form.

No. 1). It potently and reversibly modifies channel gating behaviour of type 1 ryanodine receptor (RyR1) by inducing prominent subconductance behavior. Maurocalcine and its bioactive structural analogues—preferably those containing the KKCKRR motif corresponding to part of the II-III loop of the alpha1S subunit of the voltage-dependent skeletal muscle calcium channel dihydropyridine receptor—appear to possess a therapeutic potential, notably as candidate immuno-suppressive drugs, and for the treatment of pathologies in humans that may involve a dysfunction of calcium channels.

Abstract: A method for inducing the onset of the reproductive cycle of female breeding animals is provided. To this end, the animals are injected with an agent that contains synthetically produced FSH releasing hormones as the active substance which comprise known sequences, consisting of 10 amino acids (decapeptide). The active substances are administered to the animals in the form of solution 0 to 96 hours after termination of the preceding anestrus or inhibition or a biotechnical treatment. The agents used promote an onset of the reproductive cycle after the young animals have been weaned from the mature animals and a synchronization of heat in animals that are to be inseminated for the first time.

In one embodiment, a monitoring component of a merchant's Web site maintains a record of products viewed by each user during a current browsing session—preferably based on visits to product detail pages. A recommendations component uses the resulting history of viewed products to identify additional products to recommend, preferably using a pre-existing table that maps products to related products. In one embodiment, this table is generated by periodically analyzing user browsing histories to identify correlations between purchases, viewing events, and/or other actions performed with respect to particular products. The recommended items may be displayed together with an option to individually deselect the recently viewed items on which the recommendations are based.

The system includes a request data input device 20. A telephone network 22 is connected to the device for transmitting the request data to the network 28. A signal decoder 14 is provided at the user base to decode the response data. A display 12 displays the response data interactively with the request data.
