  • Patent number: 11250001
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to processing data records, and for a multi-phase partitioned data reduction. The first phase relates to processing data records and partitioning the records into a first partition of records having a common characteristic and a second partition of records that are not members of the first partition. The data records in each partition are subject to intra-partition data reduction responsive to a resource constraint. The data records in each partition are also subject to an inter-partition data reduction, also referred to as an aggregation to reduce a footprint for storing the records. Partitions and/or individual records are logically aggregated and a data reduction operation for the logical aggregation of records takes place in response to available resources.

  • Patent number: 11157452
Abstract: A method for in-band de-duplication, the method may include receiving by a hardware accelerator, a received packet of a first sequence of packets that conveys a first data chunk; applying a data chunk hash calculation process on the received packet while taking into account a hash calculation result obtained when applying the data chunk hash calculation process on a last packet of the first sequence that preceded the received packet; wherein the calculating of the first data chunk hash value is initiated before a completion of a reception of the entire first data chunk by the hardware accelerator.

  • Patent number: 11113325
Abstract: Techniques are provided to allow a user to interact with a computer to automatically analyze a transcript and provide interactive feedback pertaining to interactions between the user and other parties. This may be accomplished by dividing the transcript into text sequences, such as sentences, and matching each text sequence against a set of rules that define patterns that relate text sequences to particular characteristic categories. These matches can be further scored and ranked to allow particular text sequences to be interactively displayed to the user in response to selection of a particular categorization.

  • Patent number: 11106639
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for performing metadata-driven data collection are disclosed. In some examples, a method includes receiving a request for system status data for components of a distributed computing system while the distributed computing system is in operation. The request includes metadata specifying a data collection sequence for collecting component-level system status data. The components include compute components, network components, and storage components. The method includes obtaining, using the metadata, the component-level system status data by querying protocol-based data collectors in an order, one after the other, as specified by the data collection sequence specified by the metadata. The method includes assembling the component-level system status data into assembled status data and storing the assembled status data in memory and/or a repository.

  • Patent number: 11042528
Abstract: Techniques for flexibly controlling data uniqueness which are applicable to different types of data that require different data uniqueness control. Control information mapped by a data storage space of a database is determined. The control information and data to be written into the data storage space is combined to obtain a combination result. The techniques of the present disclosure determine whether there is another combination result that is the same as the combination result. The techniques of the present disclosure, in response to determining that there is another combination result that is the same as the combination result, reject to write into the data storage space the data to be written into the data storage space of the database; or modify the another data in the database.

  • Patent number: 10992675
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with anomaly detection using tripoint arbitration are described. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a set of clusters that correspond to a nominal sample of data points in a sample space. A point z is determined to be an anomaly with respect to the nominal sample when, for each cluster, a tripoint arbitration similarity between data points in the cluster calculated with z as arbiter is greater than a threshold.

  • Patent number: 10970252
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating composite documents from document containers using a set of rules to populate slots in the containers with variable content is presented. The present invention allows the user to produce many individual, customized documents from a single container or set of linked containers and a set of content items stored in a database. Each container includes a set of rules that establish one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many, or circular mappings between slots and content items. In one or more embodiments, the present invention may be used to create customized composite photograph collages, such as custom school pictures, where each generated document is a photograph collage that features a photograph of an individual student in a central, enlarged, or more prominent position, with smaller photographs of the other students in the class or school in less prominent positions in the collage.

  • Patent number: 10963465
Abstract: Systems and methods for rapid importation of data including temporally tracked object recognition. One of the methods includes receiving datasets each indicating information associated with one or more objects. Information indicating unique identifying information associated with the objects is accessed, and an updated dataset joining information from datasets that is associated with each object is generated. The updated dataset is maintained to include most recent versions of each of the datasets, with one or more datasets being replaced with more recent versions, and with one or more other datasets being propagated to be the most recent versions. Queries received from clients are responded to, with the queries indicating requests for specific information related to objects.

  • Patent number: 10949384
Abstract: A size associated with a first content file is determined to be less than a threshold size. In response to determining that the size associated with the first content file is less than the threshold size, a combined metadata structure is updated at least in part by combining metadata of the first content file with metadata of a second content file in the combined metadata structure. A snapshot tree is updated to reference a first portion of the combined metadata structure corresponding to the first content file and to reference a second portion of the combined metadata structure corresponding to the second content file.

  • Patent number: 10642837
Abstract: According to embodiments, a derived cache that is derived from a first instance of particular data is used to speed up queries and other operations over a second instance of the particular data. Traditionally, a DBMS generates and uses derived cache data only for the database data from which the derived data was derived. However, according to embodiments, derived cache data associated with a first instance of database data is relocated to the location of a second, newly created, instance of the database data. Since the derived cache data is derived from an identical copy of the database data, the cache data derived for the first instance can successfully be used to speed up applications running over the second instance of the database data.

  • Patent number: 10635128
Abstract: The present disclosure describes storing backup images in backup storage using snapshots. In response to receipt of a backup image that includes a complete copy of client data, a storage unit is generated and the backup image is stored in the storage unit. In response to receipt of a streamlined backup image that includes changed client data and metadata identifying unchanged client data in a base backup image, a base storage unit that includes the base backup image is identified, a snapshot is taken of the base storage unit (which generates a snapshot), and the streamlined backup image is stored on the snapshot. The metadata of the streamlined backup image is analyzed to identify portions of the base backup image that are not referenced by the streamlined backup image, which are removed from the snapshot.

  • Patent number: 10621197
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that manages synchronization between a profile store and a source of truth that is used to update the profile store via a real-time link. During operation, the system obtains a first set of attributes from a profile for an entity in the profile store and a second set of attributes for the entity from the source of truth. The system then compares the first and second sets of attributes for mismatches between the first and second sets of attributes. When a mismatch between the first and second sets of attributes is found, the system corrects the mismatch by modifying the first set of attributes in the profile store with one or more values from the second set of attributes to improve subsequent use of the profile in the profile store by the set of remote offerings.
