Abstract: An exercise attachment for a shoe includes a platform upon which the shoe rests. A shoe strap is removably connectable to the platform, and is used to hold the shoe in place on the platform. The platform has a rounded pivot member disposed on its bottom surface. The rounded pivot member contacts a support surface, and allows the exercise attachment to pitch, roll, and yaw about the rounded pivot member. The shoe strap is connected to the platform by an anchor member which has an elongated pocket which selectively receives a locking rod.

Abstract: A resistance apparatus includes a track adapted to be secured in a vertical position on a support. A vertical slide is mounted and slideable and has on the track a spring loaded plunger near a first end thereof. A hook is mounted on the slide and has a pair of spaced apart legs, with upper and lower end portions, with the lower end portions of the legs connected by an upwardly extending U-shape portion. The upper end portion of the second leg has a downwardly extending curved portion which is laterally spaced from the upper end portion of the first leg to form therewith an entrance opening into the interior of the hook. A resistance band has an intermediate portion which is received in the interior of the hook through the entrance opening to permit a person to grasp the ends of the resistance band and to perform various resistance exercises.

Abstract: An exercise arm apparatus and method of use. The exercise arm comprises at least one finger, a spindle attached to the finger, and weights sized to reside on the spindle. One end of the exercise arm is rotatably attached at a pivot point to a frame or to a vertical surface; a belt is attached to an opposite end of the exercise arm by means of a belt line. Where the exercise arm is rotatably attached to a frame, dip bars and chin bars are disclosed wherein an exerciser may perform dips and chins. Upward motion by an exerciser wearing the belt is impeded by spindle weights, a belt elastic attached at one end to the belt and at an opposite end to the exercise arm, and/or an elastic member attached at one end to the frame and at an opposite end to the exercise arm.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus for performing a wide range of full body motions against cabled weight resistance by providing user-selectable arrangements of pulleys. A pulley carriage carries one or more carriage pulleys and is slidable on a vertical stanchion. Each pulley arrangement comprises the combination of a user-selectable, vertical height for the carriage pulleys together with user-selectable locations on the frame of the apparatus for attachment of a pair of hand pulleys, whereby the amount of slack in cables routed through the pulleys is adjustable by varying the height of the carriage pulleys.

Abstract: An exercise system utilizes exercise apparatus having at least two operative positions, a first operative position with a base fixedly contacting a floor, and a second operative position with the base spaced apart from the floor and horizontally moveable over the floor in any desired direction of travel. When a barbell is mounted at rest on the exercise apparatus the apparatus is in the first operative position. When the barbell is disengaged from the at rest position, the exercise apparatus moves to the second operative position.

Abstract: The present invention describes a portable resistance band exercise system used for training muscles, which may be used in a multi-planar workout routine, allowing various muscle groups to be exercised simultaneously. The user attaches each of one or more body attachment fasteners to one or more resistance bands, which are in turn attached to attachment points on a board. The attachment points are arranged in a semi-circular orientation on the board. The board may be used horizontally or upright, to permit a variety of exercises to be performed. Said exercise system also employs an ankle strap which has bumpers to cushion the user's shin and a foot strap to prevent the ankle strap from sliding up the user's lower leg.

Abstract: An apparatus for climbing includes an elongate body having an outer surface with a rope-like texture, a length of at least six feet and a diameter not greater than four inches, a stiffness such that it cannot be looped around part of a child, and a mount on one end of the body for connecting the body to an elevated support. The elongate body can be mounted to an elevated support and thereby be suspended from the elevated support to allow a child to climb the apparatus without risking strangulation from looping of the elongate body around part of the child.

Abstract: A portable multipurpose whole body exercise device which can be used for general fitness, Pilates-type, core strengthening, therapeutic, and rehabilitative exercises as well as stretching and physical therapy and which includes storable accessories that can be withdrawn from storage within the device and subsequently secured to the main tubular portion of the apparatus. The storable accessories can be used for a variety of resistance, stretching, and strength training exercises.

Abstract: Embodiments of a user-adjustable resistance mechanism, and embodiments of an exercise apparatus employing such a user-adjustable resistance mechanism, are provided. In one embodiment, the exercise apparatus includes a support structure, a user-manipulated element movably coupled to the support structure and configured to be moved by a user during the performance of an exercise in opposition to an output resistance, and a user-adjustable resistance mechanism. The user-adjustable resistance mechanism includes, in turn, an input resistance assembly and a lever assembly comprising a first plurality of levers rotatably coupled in series between the user-manipulated element and the support structure. The input resistance assembly is configured to be selectively coupled by a user to the lever assembly at any one of a plurality of locations to determine the cumulative load arm length of the first plurality of levers and the output resistance opposing movement of the user-manipulated element.

Abstract: An attachment for exercise equipment is disclosed. The attachment is a handle assembly with a compressible rotating grip mechanism. The grip mechanism includes a swivel grip rotatably attached to the handle, and a floating grip coupled to the swivel grip by one or more pins. The grip mechanism includes one or more springs between the swivel grip and the floating grip.

Abstract: A compact portable exercise machine includes elastic resistance members which are distended or compressed by only a limited amount in order to extend the operational life of the resistance members. Although the elastic resistance members are distended only a relatively short distance during an exercise, the pulled system utilized to distend the elastic members permits a comparatively large range of motion by the individual performing the exercise. The portability of the exercise machine permits it to be readily positioned to perform a relatively large range of exercise.

Abstract: An exercise system preferably having a mat dimensioned to support a user stretched out on the floor. The mat has a central fastening band disposed widthwise across the mat. A belt fits around the midsection of the user adapted to be aligned with and at least partially adhere to the fastening band of the mat. The user is intended to perform certain flexibility exercises with the belt in contact with the fastening band. If the user lifts her midsection off of the mat during such exercises, the removal of the belt makes an audible noise (and the mat tugs on the user) to cue the user to reposition her body flat on the mat. The fastening band preferably includes one half of a hook-and-loop-type fastener and the belt comprises the other mating half. Alternatively, one or both of the band and belt may be provided with an adhesive material.

Abstract: A new method of simulating the experience of surfing the tube of a wave is presented, consisting of a tarpaulin with weights and a handle on one corner. The tarpaulin is pulled up in the air and forward creating a tube shaped form within which a skateboarder can be propelled as if he was surfing a wave.

A handle is slideably mounted around the attachment member. A connecting strap has an end fixed to the linking ring. A stop is fixed to the other end of the connecting strap. A second ring can be fixed to the connecting strap, and an attachment belt can be attached to the second ring. Two handles of two suspension members can be attached to two ends of a bar.

Abstract: A portable exercise device includes an elongated base sheet and at least one attachment mechanism secured to the elongated base sheet at preselected locations on one side of said base sheet. The at least one attachment mechanism has at least one apparatus to receive an appendage of a user of the device and to provide a mechanism by which to secure a variety of exercise accessories to the base sheet. A retention mechanism for selectively removably connecting the device to a door sufficiently secures the device to the door that it will permit vigorous repeated use of the device without causing the device to inadvertently separate from the door during use and will also permit rapid, facile removal of the device from the door.

Abstract: An adjustable weight training device includes a handle having at two sides. Each side of the handle is provided with a selector unit, an adjustment unit and a plurality of weight discs. The adjustment unit is operated to change the connection of the selector unit and the plurality of weight discs so as to change the weight of the weight training device as desired.

Abstract: A resistance band physical training apparatus includes a wall station, and a pair of floor stations. The wall station is mounted to a vertical mounting surface, such as a wall, and the floor stations are mounted to a horizontal mounting surface, such as a floor. The wall and floor stations include rods and bars about which resistance bands can be arranged to facilitate the performance of a plurality of exercises.

Abstract: A dumbbell with adjustable weight essentially includes a handle, two first weight blocks, two second weight blocks, and two position-limiting elements. The handle has a gripping portion and two arms protruding outward from the gripping portion. The first weight blocks are removably disposed around the arms of the handle, respectively. The second weight blocks are removably disposed around the first weight blocks, respectively. The position-limiting elements abut against the second weight blocks ends, respectively. Hence, a user can adjust the total weight of the dumbbell by changing or removing the second weight blocks.

Abstract: A height adjustable double end training ball apparatus for use in boxing, martial arts and other combat/fighting sports training. The double end training ball having an aperture that extends through the center of the ball and having openings at each end of the aperture on the surface of the ball; a cord having a length suitable to extend from an upper surface to a lower surface, such as a floor and ceiling, in a room where the double end training ball will be used, wherein one end of said cord is connected to the upper surface and the opposite end of the cord is connected to the lower surface; and a pair of restraining elements. The double end training ball is secured on the cord via the application of the restraining elements, such as clamps, at a position above and below the ball.
