Abstract: A method and an apparatus for a coexistence of an M2M service and an H2H service relate to the technical field of wireless communication. The method includes: during an implementation of an M2M service, determining whether the M2M service is a QoS negotiable M2M service by checking a type of the M2M service; when it is determined that the M2M service is a QoS negotiable M2M service, making the M2M service and an H2H service to share same network resources; and when it is determined that the M2M service is a QoS non-negotiable M2M service, configuring, for the M2M service, a dedicated cell dedicated to implement the M2M service, wherein, the M2M service is a machine to machine service, and the H2H service is a human to human service.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for processing an authentication request message in a social network are provided. To improve the inefficiency of existing technology in processing user authentication and request to establish social relationship as well as inadequacy of parameters available for said authentication, the disclosed method includes a social network server detecting an authentication request message sent by a first client to a second client requesting to establish a social relationship with the second client. The social network server obtains information social attributes that are common to the first client and the second client, forwards the authentication request message, and sends the obtained information of common social attributes to the second client. The social attribute information is used by the second client to decide whether or not to authenticate the authentication request message.

Abstract: In onse aspect, there is provided a method for the management of Application Server AS-related user data stored in a Home Subscriber Server HSS. In an embodiment, said method comprises a step of: HSS and at least one Application Server AS, referred to as validating AS, exchanging information for the validation of a management request received at the HSS.

Abstract: The presently disclosed techniques related to data transfer and synchronization between multiple electronic devices. The multiple electronic devices may be logged onto a user's account with a cloud computing service so that they may transfer data relating to websites that they have accessed to the cloud computing service so that such data may be synchronized amongst the multiple electronic devices. A tab screen on each electronic device may allow a user to view the other linked devices as well as the websites that they have accessed so that the user may select such websites if so desired.

Abstract: A wireless access point employs monitor to scrutinize priority of mobility unit assigned priority values, and replaces invalid or reserved values to prevent rogue or poorly constructed applications (apps) from improper priority specification and subsequent imbalance of priority message transmission for control and other high-priority message traffic. The access point receives an indication of reserved message priorities from a wireless switching point at a remote end of an access tunnel providing backhaul network access to mobility units coupled to the access point. The access point stores the reserved message priorities for comparison with priorities assigned at the mobility units. Messages having invalid priorities are modified to reduce the priority to an allowed value, such as best effort, prior to the message transmission through the access tunnel to the backhaul network.

Abstract: Methods and systems according to one or more embodiments establish communication across separate IP domains that are on the same layer 2 bridged domain. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving a configuration of a first IP address of a first node on a first side of a switch and a second IP address of a second node on a second side of the switch, wherein the first and second IP addresses are of different domains and are to be translated in each direction with respect to the switch, wherein the switch further comprises an integrated block adapted to do translation at line rate. Based on the configuration, the method also includes modifying, by the switch, packets of an applicable protocol in each direction so that the first and second IP addresses are changed for each domain such that either side of the switch acts as if an opposite side is on the same domain so that layer 2 communication is established.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods of designing and implementing service policies in a telecommunications network. The policy management system includes interfaces operable to receive different subscriber information, an execution framework which includes policies which can be dynamically customized using one or more custom execution blocks, wherein the policies can receive the subscriber information through the interfaces and execute each policy based on the subscriber information. The method enables a network operator to dynamically update policies using customizable execution blocks and thereby change services associated with a particular policy as well as change the input factors (subscriber location, profile, etc.) available to that policy.

Abstract: An application information acquisition unit transmits a device list of unconnected devices, which are owned devices recorded in a local storage but not retrieved by a device retrieval unit, and connected devices, which are owned devices retrieved by the device retrieval unit, to an external server via an external network. A service list display unit displays a list of device cooperation services indicated in device cooperation service list information obtained by the application information acquisition unit from the external server and a list of devices determined to be owned devices by an owned device management unit on a display unit, whereby a user is prompted to select a device cooperation service.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a message comprising a user identification code via a social media messaging channel. In addition, the method includes receiving geo-location information of the device transmitting the message. The method also includes verifying the user identification code by confirming that the geo-location information complies with stored expected geo-location information. The method also includes accessing data associated with a transaction account linked to the user identification code based on the content of the message. The method further includes transmitting a reply to the received message on the social media messaging channel.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a region-based method for sharing photos between devices. The method establishes an image-sharing event for a particular region, which in some embodiments is defined in terms of one or more geographic attributes (e.g., a latitude, a longitude, and one or more shape attributes that define a shape about the intersection of the latitude and the longitude). The method then allows devices that enter the particular region to join the image-sharing event, so that (1) the devices can capture and add photos for the event, and (2) they can view and save photos captured by other devices that joined the event. To facilitate the sharing of the photos, the method of some embodiments makes the photos that are captured for the event available for viewing for a period of time after the event has ended. This extra time provides the event participants more time to view and save photos captured for the event.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure relate to methods and systems for migrating an interface. One disclosed method may include discovering types associated with a plurality of source middleware nodes, and discovering one or more links between them. It may include mapping the plurality of source middleware nodes to nodes of a global middleware model based on the types, wherein the global middleware model comprises a format interoperable between a source middleware platform and a target middleware platform. It may further include establishing one or more links between the nodes of the global middleware model based on the one or more links between the plurality of source middleware nodes. It may also include migrating the nodes of the global middleware model and the one or more links between the nodes of the global middleware model to the target middleware platform based on mapping the global middleware model to the target middleware platform.

Abstract: The problem of sharing session information across client contexts is addressed by binding initial session information to a persistent, short-lived and one-time use temporary identifier. This identifier is persisted on a client side (e.g., through a cookie jar) that is shared among the different client contexts that can share the original session. This temporary identifier, in turn, allows one or more other sessions to use the original session information by acting as an index into that session information, which is stored on the server side. Preferably, this temporary identifier contains a unique identifier (ID) that is generated as a sufficiently-complex random number. A mapping back to the real session identifier is maintained on the server side for this short-lived ID.

Abstract: Techniques to provide proxies for web services are described. A technique may include providing proxies for web services that translate one format to a format native used, or understood, by the web service without having to rewrite existing APIs. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a processing unit and a network interface coupled to the processing unit. The apparatus may further include a web service executing web service requests on the processing unit using a native format. The apparatus may further include a proxy to receive a web service request in a first format via the network interface and to translate the web service request from the first format to the native format. Abstract: A controller receives a request for the provision of a slice of a network to a virtual network operator. The controller determines whether the slice can be provided from existing resources, whether the slice can be provided if the existing resources are re-configured, or whether the slice can only be provided if additional resources are obtained. The controller then automatically takes the action required in order to provide the requested slice. The controller can also be used to release resources that are no longer required. Additionally, the controller can be used to re-optimize the network on request.

Abstract: Techniques for virtual switch and virtual switch port management for VM availability in a cluster are described. In one example embodiment, a determination is made as to whether a virtual switch port on a first virtual switch associated with a first VM network is available for powering on the VM on a first host computing system. Based on the outcome of the determination either further determination is then made as to whether a virtual switch port on a second virtual switch associated with the first VM network is available to power on the VM on a second host computing system or migration of the VM in a power-off state is initiated to the second host computing system and powered-on on the second host computing system via the virtual switch port on the second virtual switch associated with the first VM network associated.
