  • Patent number: 11793503
Abstract: A length or strand of resilient material is formed into a continuous ring having multiple tissue-engaging portions for engaging and spreading eyeball tissue segments apart. The strand is formed with elongated straight sides joined by corner portions which are enlarged in directions transverse to the length dimension of each adjacent side. The corner portions constitute the tissue-engaging portions and have top and bottom sections and a connecting section that forms a gap for receiving the tissue. Each side of the ring extends from a bottom section of one corner to a top section of an adjacent corner. When the ring is deployed, the tissue is captured in the gaps at the corners of the ring and also is engaged along each side as that side transitions from a position situated below the tissue to a position situated above the issue.

  • Patent number: 11779469
Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable medical drill impact attachment device. The device can be used for improving the accuracy and reliability of orthopedic surgeries and procedures by obviating a manual device such as a hammer for creating an impact. The attachment device is used for creating impact forces that can be transferred onto a bone, disc, joint, etc. The device features a housing that includes a rotary motion transformer and an impact mechanism assembly. The attachment transforms the rotational motion of a drill into reciprocal motion, and also enables a user to adjust and control the frequency and energy of the impact. An impactor tool can be detachably-attached to a quick-change tool gripper for providing an impact on a bone, disc or joint of a patient without applying any manual force.

  • Patent number: 11737892
Abstract: An expandable intervertebral spacer system having a top plate and a bottom plate forming a cage. The top, bottom, and sides of the cage have openings to receive bone graft material. At least one ramp extends into the cage from the top plate or bottom plate. The top plate and bottom plate are connected together at the proximal end of the cage at a hinge. The cage is expanded by inserting a pushrod into the proximal end of the cage against the ramp and forcing the top and bottom plates apart at a desired angle. A locking mechanism at the distal end of the cage locks the plates apart using a ratchet-like mechanism in which a torsion spring biases a movable post against a stationary post, such that the saw teeth of the movable post and stationary post cooperate to lock the top and bottom plates apart.

  • Patent number: 11730609
Abstract: An inserter connects to an implant which has two rotatable actuators for adjusting two different parameters of the insert. The inserter has a handle and a frame extending from the handle. A hollow tube is supported by the frame and has an end that can be connected and disconnected from the implant when the tube is rotated. A stem is passed through the tube, and another stem is supported by the frame.
