  • Patent number: 12342418
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for SoR list management and PLMN selection based on an SoR list. A UE may receive an SoR container which may include a list of OPLMNs. The UE may store a prior list of OPLMNs stored on a USIM of the UE on a memory of the UE. The UE replace the prior list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM with the list of OPLMNs included in the SoR container. The UE may consider the prior list of OPLMNs as a lower priority list as compared to the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM. Additionally, in response to determining to move from a current PLMN, the UE may scan for a new PLMN based on the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM.

  • Patent number: 12341641
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to enhance Demodulation Reference Signals (DM-RS) in order to reduce the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) to the same level as for data symbols. To accomplish this function, the UE obtains a first initialization value that is calculated based on one of a first parameter (e.g., cell ID) and a second parameter and a scrambling code ID. The UE then maps the first initialization value to either a first Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) group or a second CDM group based on the scrambling code ID. The mapping associates the first initialization value with the first or second CDM group such that the initialization value is used when generating a demodulation sequence for that CDM group.

  • Patent number: 12250670
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for encoding data for wireless communication to achieve a desired amplitude distribution. Some implementations more specifically relate to performing an encoding operation to shape the amplitudes of the resultant symbols such that the amplitudes have a non-uniform distribution. In some implementations of the non-uniform distribution, the probabilities associated with the respective amplitudes generally increase with decreasing amplitude. Some implementations enable the tracking of MPDU boundaries to facilitate successful decoding by a receiving device. Additionally or alternatively, some implementations enable the determination of a packet length after performing the amplitude shaping, which enables a transmitting device to determine the number of padding bits to add to the payload and to signal the packet length to a receiving device so that the receiving device may determine the duration of the packet.

  • Patent number: 12238744
Abstract: An apparatus of an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. To configure the IAB node for resource allocation within an IAB network, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a central unit (CU) function of an IAB donor node. The RRC signaling configures first time-domain resources for a parent backhaul link between a mobile termination (M) function of the IAB node and a distributed unit (DU) function of a parent IAB node, and second time-domain resources for a child backhaul link between a DU function of the IAB node and a MT function of a child IAB node. Uplink data is encoded for transmission to the parent IAB node based on the first time-domain resources. Downlink data is encoded for transmission to the child IAB node based on the second time-domain resources.
