  • Patent number: 10742283
Abstract: Transmit diversity schemes may be used for sending sequence-based signals over multiple antennas. For example, a user equipment (UE) may determine an uplink sequence to be transmitted to a base station using multiple antennas. The UE may utilize a transmit diversity scheme for the multiple-antenna transmission of the uplink sequence, where the transmit diversity scheme utilized may be based on a number of symbol periods during which the sequence is transmitted. In accordance with the transmit diversity scheme, the UE may use multiple transmit antennas to transmit different sequences from respective antennas. In other examples, the UE may transmit the uplink sequence using different time or frequency resources. Additionally, the UE may use some combination of different transmit diversity schemes for sequence-based signals. In some aspects, the base station may provide an indication of the transmit diversity scheme that the UE is to use for transmitting the uplink sequence.

  • Patent number: 10716027
Abstract: A set of priority parameters for network traffic on the data communication network is stored. Based on a specific application determination, based at least in part on a source IP address, a source port address, a destination IP address, a destination port address and a protocol, an airtime fairness ratio (ATR) for the session with a specific station from the set of priority parameters concerning application priority is assigned. A higher ATR results in more packets being stored in the queue for processing and a lower ATR results in fewer packets being stored in the queue for processing, thereby affecting airtime.

  • Patent number: 10541946
Abstract: Nodes within a network are configured to adapt to changing path states, due to congestion, node failures, and/or other factors. A node may selectively convey path information and/or other state information to another node by annotating the information into packets it receives from the other node. A node may selectively reflect these annotated packets back to the other node, or other nodes that subsequently receive these annotated packets may reflect them. A weighted cost multipathing selection technique is improved by dynamically adjusting weights of paths in response to feedback indicating the current state of the network topology, such as collected through these reflected packets. In an embodiment, certain packets that would have been dropped may instead be transformed into “special visibility” packets that may be stored and/or sent for analysis. In an embodiment, insight into the performance of a network device is enhanced through the use of programmable visibility engines.

  • Patent number: 10536915
Abstract: Certain features relate to compensating for a roundtrip delay caused by a distributed antenna system. A delay unit communicatively coupled to a base station can intercept the delay compensation signaling communicated between the digital baseband unit of the base station and the radio transmitter unit of the base station. The delay unit can adjust the delay compensation signaling by adding to the delay compensation signaling the pre-determined fiber delay caused by the DAS. In some aspects, the delay unit can delay the control words for a base station operating under the Common Public Radio Interface standard. In other aspects, the delay unit can delay the round-trip time measurement message for a base station operating under the Open Base Station Architecture Initiative standard.
