Abstract: A zoom lens includes, in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens unit having a negative refractive power, a rear lens group having a positive refractive power as a whole and including at least one lens unit. An interval between the first lens unit and the rear lens group at the telephoto end is smaller than that at the wide angle end. The first lens unit includes a first aspheric lens having a positive aspheric amount, and a second aspheric lens having a negative aspheric amount on the image side of the first aspheric lens. The predetermined conditional expressions are satisfied.
