Abstract: A wader comprising a body portion and a bootie. The bootie is attached to the body portion. The bootie is comprised of a toe piece, an ankle piece, and a sole piece. The toe piece, the ankle piece, and the sole piece are adhered together to form the bootie. The toe piece has an outside surface, and the toe piece comprises a raised neoprene area on the outside surface. The ankle piece has an inside surface, and the ankle piece comprises a raised neoprene area on the inside surface. The toe piece, the ankle piece, and the sole piece are all comprised of a neoprene material. The raised neoprene area on the inside surface of the ankle piece is configured to wick moisture up and away from the foot of the wearer.

Abstract: A jet manifold (10) and a method for a hydroentanglement device (1) are provided. The jet manifold (10) has a hollow housing (11) that includes a housing shell (12). An opening (13) is provided in the housing shell. A nozzle strip (16) is located in the housing (11) and has a tub-shaped cross-section with a nozzle body (19). The nozzle body (19) is recessed in the opening (13) in the housing shell.

Abstract: An instrument for making a ribbon embellishment is provided. The instrument is made up of a ring-shaped plate, and a plurality of extensions each extending from the ring-shaped plate toward the center of the circular plate. The plurality of extensions include a first extension, a second extension and a third extension, and the first extension has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. In plan view, the second extension faces the first surface of the first extension, and the third extension faces the second surface of the first extension.

Abstract: The present invention provides hats with attachment assemblies allowing them to be detachably secured to an article of clothing. In one example, the attachment assembly permits the hat to be detachably secured in an exterior-side out configuration to a belt of medium width worn around the wearer's waist, without requiring the hats to be inverted or reversed, and without any need for pockets, linings, zippers or the like. The hats may also be provided with retention members for holding the hats in a simple folded configuration when carried on the person. In such a configuration small personal items such as keys, loose change, mobile telephones may be carried in the retained, folded hat.

Abstract: A stretching apparatus of fibre tows in a pressurized steam environment comprises a plurality of stretching chests (1) and associated supporting structures (3, 4, 6) arranged side by side, at the same level, on a holding frame. The stretching chests (1) are each formed by two opposed metallic half-chests (1b, 1t), delimiting a stretching chamber (2). The stretching chamber (2) has a generally rectangular section of a low height and opens outwards in correspondence of the two transversal edges of the stretching chest (1) through tow entry and exit openings. Inside the stretching chambers (2) the tows are treated with saturated or overheated steam at high temperature and pressure and simultaneously undergo a mechanical stretching operation.

Abstract: A shoe, comprising a sole and a shoe upper, wherein the sole comprises a sole part which has a base region from which at least one support part extends upwards during the intended use of the shoe, wherein the shoe upper comprises a sock-like section connected to the sole for receiving the foot of the wearer. To obtain improved contact of the shoe with the foot of the wearer, the at least one support part covers the sock-like section on the shoe outer side, wherein no firm connection exists between the support part and the sock-like section over at least a section of the support part and that both the at least one support part and the sock-like section are surrounded by a tensioning element which tensions at least some sections of both the support part and the sock-like section against the foot of the wearer of the shoe.

Abstract: Golf jackets having improved collar constructions are provided. The height of the center section of the collar is longer than the height of the first and second end sections of the collar. When closed, the collar can provide an effective weather-proof seal around the neck region. In one embodiment, the jacket has a minimal amount of panels and stitched seams. The jacket has a lightweight construction, good temperature-regulating properties, high stretch/elasticity, and an outer surface that is highly waterproof. The jacket provides the golfer with a complete range of motion so that he/she is comfortable and can play the game easily.

Methods and apparatus for a head covering may comprise a base configured to fit around a wearer's head, a sidewall comprising a plurality of open cells configured to prevent light rays at or above a predetermined angle relative to the passageway of each cell from passing unobstructed through the cell, and a crown configured to close of the interior surface of the sidewall. The minimum depth of each cell may be determined based on the height of the cell, the angle at or above which the light rays are to obstructed, and the angle of the exterior cell opening. The cells may be arranged in the sidewall such that the lower surface of the passageway of each cell is substantially at the same angle with respect to a horizontal plane.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for pre-shrinking a wet fabric prior to drying. The apparatus includes, among other components, a balloon extractor station and a hydro-sizer compression station. The balloon extractor station removes some water from the wet fabric. The hydro-sizer compression station is operatively connected to, and disposed downstream of, the balloon extractor station, and compresses the wet fabric in a lengthwise direction, and in so doing, pre-shrinks the wet fabric prior to drying. The method includes, among other steps, extracting some water from the wet fabric so as to faun a hydro-extracted and wet fabric, compressing lengthwise the hydro-extracted and wet fabric so as to form a compacted and wet fabric that is now pre-shrunk prior to drying, and drying the compacted and wet fabric so as to form a compacted and dry fabric.

The shoe system also includes a selectively removable outsole which includes a bottom for contacting the ground, and a top for engaging with the bottom of the shoe upper. The top side of the outsole further includes a projection which is sized and shaped to extend through the aperture and into the cavity when the outsole is in a first orientation, which is misaligned with respect to the shoe upper. The projection is also sized and shaped to fit within the cavity but no longer back through the aperture when the outsole is in a second orientation, which is aligned with respect to the shoe upper. In the second orientation, the projection within said cavity prevents disengagement of the outsole from the shoe upper.

The article of footwear also includes a tightening grip operable to be moved away from the upper in a first direction to move the first cable in the tightening direction and a cable lock operable in a locked state to restrict movement of the first cable in the loosening direction and operable in an unlocked state to permit movement of the first cable in the loosening direction. A release grip is operable to be moved away from the upper in a second direction to move the cable lock from the locked state to the unlocked state, whereby the release grip is separate from the tightening grip.

The knotter is further provided with a first cover, associated with at least one movable part, having a first covering position wherein the first cover at least partly covers the at least one movable part, and a second uncovering position, wherein the first cover no longer covers the at least one movable part. The knotter further includes a safety mechanism, operatively connected to the driver and the first cover, such that positioning or enabling the positioning of the first cover in the second uncovering position stops the moving of the at least one movable part.

Abstract: Protective garments are disclosed having an inner lining with high lubricity and high strength characteristics. The inner lining, in one embodiment, contains spun yarns combined with multifilament yarns. In accordance with the present disclosure, the multifilament yarns are present in the warp direction and in the fill direction. In addition, the multifilament yarns may outnumber the spun yarns in both the warp direction and the fill direction. In this manner, a fabric is produced not only having good lubricity characteristics but also having a balance of properties. For instance, in one embodiment, the shrink properties of the fabric in the warp direction substantially match the shrink properties of the fabric in the fill direction.
