  • Patent number: 10489982
Abstract: A device, system and method for controlling a display screen using a knowledge graph is provided. A knowledge graph defines relationships between a plurality of persons-objects-entities (POEs) of interest. A controller selects one or more field-of-view POEs of interest that are related to the work assignment and are located in a field-of-view of a display screen. The controller extracts, from the knowledge graph: associated relationships between the one or more field-of-view POEs of interest and/or one or more field-of-view POEs of interest located out of the field-of-view of the display screen. The controller generates a graphical representation including indications of: the one or more field-of-view POEs of interest and the one or more out-of-field-of-view POEs of interest, and relationships therebetween. The controller renders the graphical representation within the field-of-view of the display screen.

  • Patent number: 10416866
Abstract: A process and system allow for visually representing style layer properties of a digital map across various zoom levels. From a style sheet for a digital map, a plurality of style layer properties for a style layer corresponding to the digital map are determined for rendering in the form of a visual map, including various property values for different zoom levels. From these, a zoom level function is generated between pairs of the values for a particular style layer property, by assigning property values (a continuous range or finite set) between the first property value and the second property value in the pair. A visual map based on vector map tiles rendered according to the zoom level function is displayed according to the selected zoom level. As values are changed, the visual map is updated to reflect the changes.

  • Patent number: 10408613
Abstract: A waveguide apparatus includes a planar waveguide and at least one optical diffraction element (DOE) that provides a plurality of optical paths between an exterior and interior of the planar waveguide. A phase profile of the DOE may combine a linear diffraction grating with a circular lens, to shape a wave front and produce beams with desired focus. Waveguide apparati may be assembled to create multiple focal planes. The DOE may have a low diffraction efficiency, and planar waveguides may be transparent when viewed normally, allowing passage of light from an ambient environment (e.g., real world) useful in AR systems. Light may be returned for temporally sequentially passes through the planar waveguide. The DOE(s) may be fixed or may have dynamically adjustable characteristics. An optical coupler system may couple images to the waveguide apparatus from a projector, for instance a biaxially scanning cantilevered optical fiber tip.
