Patent number: 7553110Abstract: An appearance inspecting apparatus includes a parts feeder aligning rubber stoppers in tandem by torsionally vibrating a bowl having a spiral track formed therein, an air conveying portion conveying the rubber stoppers aligned in tandem by blowing compressed air thereto, first and second conveying tables conveying rubber stoppers by suction-holding a surface not to be inspected of the rubber stoppers, an inspecting portion inspecting a surface to be inspected of the rubber stoppers conveyed by the first and second conveying tables, and a selecting portion sorting out rubber stoppers that are determined to be defective, in accordance with the result of inspection by the inspecting portion. Objects to be inspected having a complicated shape are aligned preliminarily by using a vibration parts feeder, while highly accurate appearance inspection is conducted.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2003Date of Patent: June 30, 2009Assignee: Daiichi Jitsugyo Viswill Co. Patent number: 6003678Abstract: A disposable first tube (68) extends axially through, and is detachably connected to, an annular main body (10'). An input piezo electric element (38) is attached to a first end of the tubular main body (10'). A second, sensor piezo electric element (40) is attached to the opposite end of the main body (10'). A nozzle (20') having a nozzle passageway (110) and a discharge opening (112) is detachably secured to an outlet end of the first tube (68). A second tube (102) within the first tube (68) delivers a core liquid to the nozzle passageway (110). A sheath liquid is delivered through a space in the first tube (68) surrounding the second tube (102). The nozzle passageway (110) forms the core and sheath liquids into a small diameter jet stream. Electrical energy is delivered to the input piezo electric element (38), to vibrate the nozzle (20') and break the jet stream into droplets.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1998Date of Patent: December 21, 1999Assignee: University of WashingtonInventor: Gerrit J. Patent number: 5788085Abstract: A portable apparatus for retrieving and then later refiling one or more sheets of single or multi-part architectural plans, blueprints, and/or any document from a flat storage file drawer comprising a sheet separator, a first clamping element, and a second clamping element, said sheet separator having a tapered front portion and means for being mounted on at least one transverse member for slidingly coupling to runners of the storage drawer. The portable arrangement allows the removal of a single sheet from a tightly packed stack of sheets without losing the place of the single sheet in the file and to replace the single sheet in the stack of sheets without disturbing the order in which the sheets are arranged.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 1996Date of Patent: August 4, 1998Inventor: Ralph M.
