Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that allows a first data compute node (DCN) to forward outgoing traffic to a second DCN directly in spite of receiving the incoming traffic from the second DCN through a load balancer. That is, the return traffic's network path from the first DCN (e.g., a server machine) to the second DCN (e.g., a client machine) bypasses the load balancer, even though a request that initiated the return traffic is received through the load balancer. The load balancer receives a connection session request from a client machine to connect to a server. It identifies a set of parameters for the connection session and after selecting a server for the connection, passes the identified set of parameters to a host machine that executes the server. The server establishes the connection session directly with the client machine based on the identified set of parameters.

Abstract: A disclosed method is performed at a first boundary node bordering a BIER domain. The method includes receiving a message associated with a source and group for multicast from outside the BIER domain. The method further includes generating an encapsulated message based on the message, a metric, and a first proxy address of the first boundary node. The method also includes forwarding the encapsulated message through the BIER domain to at least one second boundary node bordering the BIER domain and connectable to the first boundary node. The first boundary node additionally triggers the at least one second boundary node to decapsulate the encapsulated message for forwarding out of the first domain and store a record including the source, the group, the metric representing the cost of the first boundary node to the source, and the first proxy address on the at least one second boundary node.

Abstract: System and methods for enforcing service level agreements (SLAs) between computing platforms engaged in (e.g., Internet-of-Things) data exchange via peer-to-peer (P2P) connections are described. In accordance with various embodiments, data traffic via the P2P connections is monitored, and if an SLA violation is detected, data streams are rerouted to cure the violation.

Abstract: A model-driven system automatically deploys a virtualized service, including multiple service components, on a distributed cloud infrastructure. A master service orchestrator causes a cloud platform orchestrator to retrieve a cloud services archive file, extract a cloud resource configuration template and create cloud resources at appropriate data centers as specified. The master service orchestrator also causes a software defined network controller to retrieve the cloud services archive file, to extract a cloud network configuration template and to configure layer 1 through layer 3 virtual network functions and to set up routes between them. Additionally, the master service orchestrator causes an application controller to retrieve the cloud services archive file, to extract a deployment orchestration plan and to configure and start layer 4 through layer 7 application components and bring them to a state of operational readiness.

Abstract: The present invention allows a user to review the routing of various communications. The system receives incoming communications for analysis by a smart routing engine (SRE) software module. The SRE module analyzes the communication at various system routing points, which is used by SRE to route the communication to an appropriate party. The SRE updates a routing log at each point to ensure a record of the reasons for routing the communication in a certain way. The routing log passes with the communication. This ensures that the ultimate recipient of the communication understands why they have received the communication and reduces the time required for a communication to be acted upon.

Abstract: System and method to send security status notifications within a SIP conference. A SIP conference server receives a from a SIP conference client a request for a SIP NOTIFY message, creates a SIP NOTIFY message including information about security status of a conference resource, and sends the SIP NOTIFY message to all SIP conference subscribers. Subscribers parse the NOTIFY message to find and save security status about individual links or the entire conference. The NOTIFY message may be sent in response to a SUBSCRIBE message or other client request. The security status may include a binary indicator and/or a security protocol.

When input detection means detects a response message, identification means identifies the latest message at the time of detection and the response message. Response message sending means sends the response message as a response to the identified message to other participants upon completion of input of the response message. Abstract: A sender transmits media streams at receiver-enabled resolutions. The sender, a media server that has multiple resolutions of media available to stream, is made aware of the capability of the receiver to process lower resolution media streams, including a super-resolution capability to enhance the lower resolution media stream using temporal and/or spatial information contained in the lower resolution media stream. The media server sends lower resolution streams to the receiver, thereby freeing up bandwidth on the communication channel for other uses. The receiver can notify the sender of events that affect the status of the super-resolution capability on the receiver, and the sender can adjust the resolution and bitrate of the media stream accordingly to optimize use of the communication channels and resources by encoding and transmitting high resolution video frames only when needed.

Abstract: The present invention allows text analysis and routing of written communications. The system intercepts incoming written communications for analysis by a text analytics service (TAS) software module. The TAS module analyzes the communication to generate communication metadata, which is used by a smart routing engine to route the communication to an appropriate party. This ensures that the ultimate recipient of the communication is capable of effective interaction with the sender and reduces the time required for a communication to be acted upon.

The intercept library may be associated with the user space, and the socket system call may be addressed to a kernel associated with the network device. The intercept library may generate an intercept socket based on the socket system call, and may detect a subscription for asynchronous network state information, wherein the subscription may be generated by the application. The intercept library may provide the subscription to a service daemon via the intercept socket.
