    Abstract: A bushing balance controller controls the overall average temperature of a multiple segment glass fiber forming bushing and the temperature of each individual bushing segment. Current shunting loops divert current away from each bushing segment as required to provide the proper bushing segment temperature profile as well as the desired average bushing temperature.
