  • Patent number: 11087611
Abstract: A computer assisted facility monitoring method provides users with predefined operating procedures that are recommended for addressing one or more alarms acknowledged by the user. The predefined operating procedures are created and stored prior to the occurrence of the alarms. In some examples, after acknowledging an alarm occurrence, the user may be provided with an option for bypassing or disregarding the alarm, as some such acknowledgements may have been for false alarms. In some examples, the predefined operating procedure may specify multiple action steps for addressing an alarm. In such examples, the user can close out or settle an alarm incident even without completing all of the action steps, provided the user enters a valid reason for doing so. In some examples, a user can batch-select a group of alarms, wherein perhaps only some of the acknowledged alarms in the group have corresponding predefined operating procedures.

  • Patent number: 11076274
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to monitoring sound in and around a vehicle to predict unsafe driving events, and using the sound information to detect and reduce unsafe driving conditions. A computing device receives information indicative of a sound in or near a vehicle. The sound information may be received via the vehicle itself or via a device. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of an unwanted driving event. The computing device also receives vehicle operation data extracted from one or more vehicle sensors. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of unsafe driving conditions, and if there is, the computing device may output a notice or alert via a notification system to alert the driver or, in certain embodiments, other parties via social media, text message, chat programs, and the like.

  • Patent number: 11043109
Abstract: A fire detector is connected to a loop transmission path connected to a receiver. When the loop transmission path is normal, a communication connection is made from a transmitting unit to the fire detector to monitor fire. When a break fault occurs in the loop transmission path, a break monitoring control unit turns switching circuit units ON to connect a termination of the loop transmission path to the transmitting unit. To the loop transmission path, a relay detects a current normal direction at normal and a current reverse direction at the time of occurrence of a break for transmission to the receiver. When a break occurs in the loop transmission path, a break section determining unit of the receiver determines, as a break section, a section in which the current normal direction detected by a plurality of the relays is changed to the current reverse direction.
