Abstract: The present invention relates to aqueous cold-cure flexible foam stabilizer formulations for use in the production of highly elastic cold-cure polyurethane foams or for use in the production of cold-cure flexible foam activator blends for highly elastic cold-cure polyurethane foams, wherein the aqueous cold-cure flexible foam stabilizer formulation comprises the following components a) from ?0.1 to ?80% by weight of at least one water-insoluble polysiloxane compound having a molecular weight of from ?300 g/mol to ?10 000 g/mol, b) ?2% by weight of water, c) ?0.1% by weight of surfactant, d) from ?0 to 10% by weight of additives selected from the group consisting of thickeners, antifreezes, organic solvents and biocides, e) ?0% by weight of water-soluble siloxane(s), with the proportion by weight of the abovementioned components being selected so that the sum of the proportions by weight of the components is not more than 100% by weight, based on the aqueous cold-cure flexible foam stabilizer formulation.

Abstract: A foam-forming composition is disclosed which includes both cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene and a poorly compatible active hydrogen-containing compound having two or more active hydrogens. Abstract: A process for producing a flexible polyurethane foam having a low transmissibility at resonance frequency, of which a rebound resilience can be suppressed, without using a foam stabilizer, is provided. Abstract: The polishing pad is suitable for planarizing at least one of semiconductor, optical and magnetic substrates. The polishing pad includes a cast polyurethane polymeric material formed with an isocyanate-terminated reaction product formed from a prepolymer reaction of a prepolymer polyol and a polyfunctional isocyanate. Abstract: Catalyst compositions for use in forming polyurethane products include a gelling catalyst, a trimerization catalyst, and a cure accelerator. The gelling catalyst is a tertiary amine, mono(tertiary amino) urea, bis(tertiary amino) urea, or a combination of any of these. Any known trimerization catalyst may be used. The cure accelerator may be a diol having at least one primary hydroxyl group, and having from five to 17 chain backbone atoms chosen from carbon, oxygen, or both between the hydroxyl groups, provided that at least five of the backbone atoms are carbon. Alternatively or in addition, the cure accelerator may be a polyol having three or more hydroxyl groups, at least two of which are primary, and having molecular weights between 90 g/mole and 400 g/mole. Delayed initiation of the polyurethane-forming reaction and/or reduced demold time for producing the polyurethane part can be obtained by using these catalyst compositions.

Abstract: Highly-functionalized, low-viscosity polyether polyols are obtained by dehydration condensation reaction of alcohols. The polyether polyols are obtained by dehydration condensation of glycerin and monohydric and/or dihydric alcohol with the glycerin percentage being more than 50 mol % relative to 100 mol % of the total of the glycerin and alcohol. The glycerin may be crude glycerin obtained by hydrolysis or alcoholysis of natural fat and oils.
Abstract: Polyurethane elastomer foams can be prepared by mixing an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer obtained by reaction of a polyol with 3,3?-dimethylbiphenyl-4,4?-diisocyanate, with a foaming agent comprising a mixture of water, a low-molecular weight glycol having a molecular weight of 48-200, and a high-molecular weight glycol having a number average molecular weight Mn of 1000-3000 under stirring to conduct foaming reaction. The polyurethane elastomer foams so produced can have a high durability, particularly under a high load, even though a low-cost, easy-to-handle diisocyanate compound is used.

Abstract: This invention relates to solid elastomers which exhibit reduced dimensional shrinkage, and to a process for the production of these elastomers.
