Abstract: As from a conventional semi-hinge fixed to the frame, a complementary door fixing semi-hinge having, emerging perpendicularly from its base plate (1), a slide (3) destined to be housed in a blind hole on the door edge, a slide which is closed by its free end by means of a lid (12) and having a pair of opposite longitudinal guides (4), in which respective sets of balls have been fitted for the sliding of a runner (8), provided with complementary guides (4?) for the mentioned set of balls and which is an elbowed extension of an arm (9) finishing in the bushing (10) or hinge itself, across which this semi-hinge is articulated to the semi-hinge fixed to the frame. Complementarily, slide (3) and runner (8) define a cylindrical housing (5-5?) in which a spring (7) is housed, which in the case of the upper hinge tends to press the leaf against the frame and in the case of the lower hinge, tends to separate these components.

Abstract: A height adjustable support is provided for supporting food service equipment and the like at different elevations above a supporting floor. The support comprises a floor engaging member such as a leg or caster that has a threaded upright stud and a coupling having an internally threaded tubular wall threaded thereon. The support also has at least one set screw threaded channel that extends through the tubular wall and a set screw sized to be threaded through the coupling set screw threaded channel and into setting engagement with the stud. So constructed the coupling may be inserted into a bottom channel of the food service equipment with the floor engaging member stud threaded therein and set at a selected position thereby setting the equipment height.
Abstract: This invention is directed to an improved photoresponsive device containing as a protectant overcoating a top layer of a crosslinked polyvinylsilicate resulting from the reaction of polysilicic acid with a polyvinyl alcohol having a number average molecular weight of from about 10,000 to about 100,000.

Abstract: A coating composition useful in forming conductive layers comprises a latex having water as a continuous phase and, as a dispersed phase, hydrophobic polymer particles having associated therewith a polyaniline salt semiconductor. The coating composition can be coated on a variety of supports to produce conductive elements. The coating compositions are particularly useful in forming antistatic layers for photographic elements or conducting layers for electrophotographic and electrographic elements. Also disclosed is a preferred process for preparing a latex coating composition comprising the steps of loading polymer particles with the polyaniline component of the polyaniline acid addition salt semiconductor and then acidifying the latex to form a polyaniline salt coating composition.
